Polk (knee) did not get a carry nor was he targeted in Saturday's 30-0 loss to Kansas City in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

For a good portion of the regular season, after Arian Foster went down with a season-ending Achilles injury, Polk looked like the top backup who was threatening lead back Alfred Blue. But he eventually lost playing time to Jonathan Grimes and will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent. He had a career-high 99 carries for 334 yards (3.4 ypa) and caught 16 passes for 109 yards. The Texans may move on from Foster, opening up the running back job, but Polk is not considered an offseason priority, though his organizational familiarity may be an asset.
