Broncos' Tom Compton: Out first four weeks

Compton (back) was officially placed on the Broncos' reserve/PUP list Tuesday.

Compton began training camp on Denver's active/PUP list after undergoing a back procedure earlier this offseason, and he will now have to miss at least the first four games of the regular season. Therefore, the backup offensive lineman will become eligible to return starting with the team's Thursday night matchup against Indianapolis on Oct. 6.
