Jefferson's 10-day contract with the Suns recently expired, making him a free agent.
The Suns replaced Jefferson's spot on the roster with Orlando Johnson, who inked a 10-day contract with the club on Feb. 5. Jefferson has appeared in just eight games with the Suns over two different stints with the team this season, posting averages of 2.8 points and two rebounds in 6.3 minutes.
