Eaton was recalled Friday from Triple-A Omaha, Pete Grathoff of The Kansas City Star reports.
He'll take over the 26-man roster spot left vacant by Edward Olivares, who has been placed on the restricted list. Eaton has gone 3-for-52 (.058) with 21 strikeouts this season at the major-league level.
