Hawaii vs. San Jose State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NCAA Football game

Hawaii will be in front of their home fans on Sunday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. They will take on the San Jose State Spartans at 0:00 a.m. ET on Sunday. Hawaii might want some stickum for this match since the team gave up four turnovers on Saturday.

The experts predicted a close game and a win for Hawaii, but boy were they wrong. Things couldn't have gone much worse for them as they lost 42-21 to New Mexico. Hawaii's defeat continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Steven McBride put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Brayden Schager also deserves a shout-out for his three touchdowns.

San Jose State fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Utah State with a sharp 42-21 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for San Jose State, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

San Jose State got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chevan Cordeiro out in front who threw for 119 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Quali Conley was another key contributor, rushing for 74 yards and two touchdowns.

Hawaii's defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's lackluster offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.9 points per game. As for San Jose State, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Hawaii came up short against San Jose State in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 27-14. Will Hawaii have more luck at home instead of on the road?
