CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) Ryan Myers had 14 points and Jesiah West scored 12 and made a go-ahead layup with 29 seconds remaining to help Western Illinois defeat Eastern Illinois 63-60 on Saturday night.

Myers was 5 of 11 shooting (4 for 8 from 3-point range) for the Leathernecks (12-6, 5-0 Ohio Valley Conference). West added six rebounds. Quinlan Bennett had 12 points and finished 5 of 7 from the floor. The Leathernecks prolonged their winning streak to nine games.

Nakyel Shelton finished with 16 points for the Panthers (8-10, 2-3). Tiger Booker added 13 points and two steals for Eastern Illinois. Kyndall Davis also had 12 points, three steals and two blocks.
