EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) Damarco Minor and Shamar Wright each scored 16 points to help SIU-Edwardsville defeat Southern Indiana 67-64 on Thursday night.

Ray’Sean Taylor made two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to give SIU-Edwardsville a three-point lead.

Minor added nine rebounds and five assists for the Cougars (9-8, 2-2 Ohio Valley Conference). Wright shot 5 for 8 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 5 of 9 from the free throw line. Desmond Polk shot 4 for 7, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 10 points.

The Screaming Eagles (5-13, 2-3) were led by AJ Smith, who posted 20 points, 12 rebounds and two steals. Southern Indiana also got 15 points and two steals from Jeremiah Hernandez. In addition, Jack Campion finished with 10 points.
