    Analysis

    I generally make plays with my brain and not heart .. but will make an exception for this one. I honestly believe Miami is one of the top-five most talented teams in the country if Mario Cristobal would just get out of his own way sometimes. At a neutral site, I'd crush this. But it's not. Obviously weather forecasts are tricky this far out. It looks rather nice in College Station down the road. Cold and I'm not doing this. Because the Canes are like the Dolphins. Fish out of water so to speak.

    Analysis

    The main story of this game between Miami and Texas A&M is who has the home-field advantage, and that's Texas A&M. This is the second year of the playoff format, and the first year we saw the home teams dominate. The collegiate home crowd with the national championship at stake, that's a big deal. Who's going to turn the ball over, and I'm betting it'll be Miami with quarterback Carson Beck on the road. The two losses this year that Miami had he threw four interceptions against Louisville and two interceptions at SMU. If they fail, it will be from turnovers and pressure from the best pass rush in the nation. Texas A&M to cover.

    Analysis

    Many teams are kicking themselves after the Red Wings beat them to the punch to acquire GK John Gibson during the offseason. After getting little help the past couple of years in Anaheim, Gibson is now flourishing in Detroit, pushing Cam Talbot to second fiddle as Gibson enjoys a big December. How big? Gibson is 6-0-0 this month, with two shutouts in his last four starts, stopping 115 of the 120 shots (.958 saves) he's faced during that span. Meanwhile, the Caps did snap a three-game skid when Logan Thompson (slated in the nets today) blanked the Leafs on Thursday, but Washington has lost three straight prior, scoring just three times that span.     Analysis

    It's a special game for Rick Pitino vs. former employer Kentucky, as St John's looks to continue a recent rally that has seen it win three in a row after three losses vs. ranked foes in November. The pieces, however, are starting to fit for Pitino, whose balanced squad features six double-digit scorers. Portal adds F Bryce Hopkins (ex-Providence) and G Ian Jackson (ex-North Carolina) are both tallying at 14 ppg and pacing a Red Storm offense scoring at an 88 ppg clip. Meanwhile, Mark Pope still looking to gain traction with the Cats, who've suffered a couple of heavy losses vs. Michigan State and Gonzaga, and still seeking proper combinations after losing four double-digit scorers from last year.     Analysis

    The Eagles finally got back on track against the Raiders, and this is another good matchup for their offense. The Washington defense has allowed 3+ TDs in every game played stateside since Week 6, and giving up 21 points and 384 yards to the Giants last week represents one of their best outings in that stretch. We're used to seeing Hurts' ATD prop at much shorter odds in this type of matchup, and even if Lane Johnson isn't able to make it back this week, I think he shouldn't be plus odds to score against a defense that gives up loads of points.
