Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Three-game, four-point streak
Nylander picked up an assist in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over Ottawa. Nylander has at least one point in each of the Leafs' three games this postseason (one goal, three assists). He also has six shots and two minor penalties. Nylander and John Tavares have been getting more O-zone starts than Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner's line this postseason, and that has been paying dividends for the Leafs. This deployment could continue through the postseason given the Marner-Matthews' defensive prowess, and that's great news for any fantasy managers who snagged Nylander in a postseason format.... Maple Leafs' William Nylander: One of each Sunday
Nylander scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and logged two PIM in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Senators in Game 1. Nylander's pair of points came on the power play in the second period. The 28-year-old winger didn't log a multi-point effort over the last six games of the regular season, though his ice time was also down in that stretch as the Maple Leafs looked to build in some rest for top players even though they didn't have the cap space to scratch anyone. Nylander racked up a career-high 45 goals as well as 39 assists, and he earned 30 of his 84 points on the power play during the regular season. He'll be a strong scoring option throughout Toronto's playoff run.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Nets goal vs. Carolina
Nylander scored a goal in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes. Nylander found the back of the net with his lone shot, burying a tip-in from close range in the early stages of the third period to give Toronto a commanding 3-0 lead. The 28-year-old has reached the 80-point plateau for the fourth consecutive season. He's not heading into the playoffs in the best stretch of form since he's recorded only five points (three goals, two assists) over his last eight appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Two-goal effort in win
Nylander scored twice on three shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Blue Jackets. Nylander's pair of goals were separated by 3:10 early in the third period. He has six goals and three assists over his last six outings, though he had gone three games without a goal prior to Saturday. Nylander notched an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Panthers. Nylander produced 20 points over 15 contests in March, and that was with four scoreless outings. The 28-year-old ended a two-game mini-skid when he fed John Tavares for the game-tying goal in the second period. Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Sets career high in goals
Nylander scored twice on three shots in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks. Nylander had a power-play tally in the first period and also scored the game-tying goal with less than 14 seconds left in the third. He had reached but not passed the 40-goal mark in each of the previous two seasons, but the third time was the charm. The 28-year-old has five goals and six assists over his last six outings and is now at 42 goals, 79 points, 235 shots on net and a plus-6 rating over 72 appearances this season.... See More ... Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Third straight 40-goal season
Nylander had two goals and two assists Tuesday in a 7-2 win over the Flyers. One goal came on the power play. Nylander has reached the 40-goal plateau for the third straight season. He's now the fourth Maple Leaf to have three consecutive 40-goal seasons. Nylander joins Auston Matthews (five; 2019-20 to 2023-24), Rick Vaive (three; 1981-82 to 1983-84) and Lanny McDonald (three; 1976-77 to 1978-79). He's nine goals behind league leader Leon Draisaitl, who is sidelined by an undisclosed injury, with 11 games left. It's unlikely Nylander can overtake Draisaitl for the Rocket Richard, but with continued heat, Nylander might hit the 90-point mark. He currently has 40 goals, 37 assists and 232 shots in 71 contests.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Gets 600th NHL point
Nylander put up two assists in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Thursday. He fired three shots. The first assist was Nylander's 600th NHL point (672 games). During that nine-game span, Nylander has also racked up 30 shots, and he's cracked the scoresheet in all but one game since the 4 Nations break.... See More ... See Less -

Nylander scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Friday's 3-2 win over the Rangers. Nylander tallied in the second period, ending a five-game goal drought following his Feb. 4 hat trick versus the Flames. The 28-year-old also saw 19:03 of ice time Friday, alleviating any concerns about the injury that made him unavailable for overtime against the Bruins on Tuesday. Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Held out of overtime
Nylander was bothered by an undisclosed injury that kept him off the ice during overtime in Tuesday's 5-4 victory over the Bruins, David Alter of The Hockey News reports. It's unclear what led to Nylander's injury. The 28-year-old has been one of the top goal-scorers in the league this year with 33 tallies over 58 appearances, so an injury is cause for concern for Nylander's fantasy managers. Check back on his availability leading into Friday's game versus the Rangers.... See More ... See Less -

Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Another apple at 4 Nations Face-Off
Nylander picked up an assist Monday in Sweden's 2-1 win over the United States at the 4 Nations Face-Off. It was his second assist. Nylander heads back to Toronto after a solid, yet unspectacular tournament. It's not that Willie had a bad competition -- it's that he didn't explode offensively to help carry Sweden closer to the top of the standings. Nylander won't let it weigh on him -- he is the epitome of the idiom water off a duck's back.... See More ... See Less -
