  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Scores in victory

Ehlers scored a goal on three shots, helping the Jets' to a 2-1 win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. Ehlers opened the scoring, beating Karel Vejmelka on a breakaway off his own rebound. This goal is the Danish forward's third marker in his last five games, providing four points in that span. On the season, Ehlers has nine goals and 31 points in 36 contests.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Three-game, five-point streak

Ehlers scored a goal and added two assists in a 5-4 overtime win over Florida on Saturday. Ehlers is on a modest three-game, five-point streak (one goal, four assists). The goal was his second in 19 games. Ehlers has struggled to get into a goal groove since his return from an abdominal injury, but he has 27 points, including 21 helpers, in 30 games this season. That's a solid pace for secondary scoring, but it may be 2023-24 before he's wholly recovered.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Picks up power-play assist

Ehlers logged a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 4-1 win over the Rangers. Ehlers' goal drought reached 10 games Monday, but he's been somewhat productive with five assists and 34 shots in that span. This was his first power-play point during the slump. The winger is up to 21 points (seven on the power play), 68 shots on net, 19 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 21 appearances this season, but it's bizarre to see him struggling to bulge the twine after posting at least 21 goals in six straight years.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Produces assist in win

Ehlers logged an assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Blackhawks. Ehlers has produced three helpers and a plus-3 rating during his six-game goal drought. The winger has 19 points, 54 shots on net, 17 hits and a plus-1 rating through 17 outings this season. He's had some poor shooting luck -- he's converted at a 7.4 percent rate, by far the worst of his career, though he's still got time to turn things around. With over 10 weeks lost to an abdominal injury, it's unlikely he'll be able to extend his streak of 20-goal seasons to seven.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Offers helper in win

Ehlers logged an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 4-2 win over the Blues. Recent line juggling from head coach Rick Bowness saw Ehlers start on the fourth line. With no goals through two periods, he was soon bumped up to play alongside Mark Scheifele, whom he set up for the game-tying goal at 9:32 of the second period. The assist ended Ehlers' three-game point drought. The 26-year-old winger is up to four tallies, 14 helpers, 52 shots on net, 16 hits and a plus-1 rating through 16 outings.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Three-point explosion

Ehlers scored a goal and added two assists in a 5-1 win over the Senators on Saturday. He opened the scoring on a first-period power play when he took a cross-slot seam pass from Josh Morrissey and beat a sprawling Anton Forsberg. Ehlers has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in nine games since returning from missing 36 games following sports hernia surgery in November. He has been held without a point just twice in that span.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Extends point streak to four games

Ehlers found the back of the net in Winnipeg's 4-1 victory against Pittsburgh on Friday. Ehlers scored a goal at 18:20 of the second period to put the Jets up 3-1. It was his third goal and 11th point in seven games this season. He extended his point streak to four games and was held off the scoresheet only once in his first five contests since returning from an abdomen injury.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Three-game, seven-point streak

Ehlers delivered two assists in a 4-2 win over the Sabres on Thursday. Ehlers has points in five of the six games he's played this season (two goals, eight assists). Seven (two goals, five assists) have come on his current three-game scoring streak. Ehlers has struggled with various injuries since 2017-18, but is a strong fantasy option when he is on the ice.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Two points in loss

Ehlers scored a goal and an assist on five shots in the Jets' 7-5 loss to the Red Wings on Tuesday. Ehlers cut the Detroit lead to 5-4 early in the third period off a wrist shot on a 2-on-1 with Pierre Luc-Dubois. The Danish forward would also add an assist on Mark Scheifele's power-play goal later in the third period. Since returning from sports hernia surgery, Ehlers has been red-hot the last two games with two goals and five points. He should continue to be a scoring threat for the Jets moving forward playing a key role in the team's top-six forward corps.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Three points including first goal

Ehlers scored his first goal of the season and added two assists in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Canucks. In his second game back from sports hernia surgery, the 26-year-old winger lit the lamp early in the second period, skating out from behind the Vancouver net and beating an out-of-position Collin Delia inside the far post. Ehlers also picked up helpers on two of Kyle Connor's three goals on the afternoon. Ehlers has played in only four games this season on either side of his surgery, but he's got six points and should remain very productive on Winnipeg's top line alongside Connor and Pierre-Luc Dubois.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Skates Wednesday

Ehlers skated for the first time Wednesday since his sports hernia surgery almost four weeks ago, John Lu of TSN reports. Ehlers is still a few weeks away from a return to game action, but this was a great first step in his recovery, as coach Rick Bowness said that Ehlers felt good after the skate. Ehlers has played only twice this season and had three assists before leaving the lineup.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Undergoing hernia surgery

Ehlers (lower body) will undergo sports hernia surgery and will be sidelined indefinitely, per Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site. Ehlers recently resumed skating so it appears he could have aggravated his injury. The 26-year-old winger has played in only two contests this season, logging three assists. Sam Gagner should continue to see top-six minutes in Ehlers' extended absence.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Resumes skating

Ehlers (lower body) skated on his own Wednesday, but there's still no timeline for his return, Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reports. Ehlers will likely need to log several full practices with his teammates before rejoining the lineup, but his presence on the ice Wednesday, albeit in a limited capacity, was nonetheless a step in the right direction for the 26-year-old winger. Ehlers picked up three helpers through the first two games of the campaign before suffering his lower-body injury.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Might practice Wednesday

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Not ready to practice Monday

Ehlers (lower body) won't practice Monday, John Lu of TSN reports. Ehlers' recovery from a lower-body injury suffered early in the campaign has gone at a slow pace. The 26-year-old can safely be ruled out for Tuesday's game versus the Stars, as he'll likely need multiple practices before he's ready to play. He remains on injured reserve, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect him back before next Saturday's game versus the Flames.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Progressing slowly in recovery

Ehlers' (lower body) recovery isn't progressing as quickly as expected, TSN's John Lu reports. Ehlers is expected to meet with team doctors Wednesday, so a more clear-cut timetable for his recovery could be established in the coming days. Ehlers has already missed seven games with his lower-body issue, and it appears as though he's likely still not particularly close to returning to the lineup.
