  • Ducks' Corey Tropp: Hits waiver wire

Anaheim placed Tropp on waivers Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

The 28-year-old forward has only appeared in one NHL contest since 2015-16, so he wasn't considered a serious contender to make the Ducks' Opening Night roster. If he goes unclaimed, Tropp will be assigned to AHL San Diego, where he'll likely remain for the rest of the 2017-18 campaign.

  • Ducks' Corey Tropp: Reassigned to minors

Tropp was sent back to the AHL's San Diego Gulls on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old forward made one NHL appearance in Arizona on Monday, recording 9:28 of ice time and two hits. He leads the Gulls with 12 goals and 25 assists over 42 games, but he's a bit old for that to translate into prospect status. Jarod Boll will likely replace Tropp in the Sharks' bottom six.

  • Ducks' Corey Tropp: Promoted to big club

The Ducks recalled Tropp from AHL San Diego on Wednesday.

Tropp has been highly productive in the minors this season, racking up 37 points (12 goals, 25 assists) in 42 games with AHL San Diego. The 27-year-old winger's first chance to crack the lineup will come Friday against the Panthers.

  • Ducks' Corey Tropp: Called up Friday

Tropp was called up from AHL San Diego on Friday.

The 27-year-old hasn't played in the NHL since the 2014-15 season, so he has his work cut out for him to garner a substantial role. However, he does have 29 points in 32 AHL games, showing that he does have a scorer's touch; it's just a matter of carrying it over to the fast-paced game seen at hockey's highest level.

  • Ducks' Corey Tropp: Brought along by Ducks on road trip

Tropp was promoted to the Ducks from AHL San Diego on Saturday, The Orange County Register reports.

Tropp was acquired from the Blackhawks at this year's trade deadline, but he's yet to make his debut with the Ducks. However, playing time in the NHL may be imminent for Tropp since the Ducks have locked up a spot in the playoffs and a couple of the team's forwards reportedly didn't travel to Colorado for Saturday's match, including Rickard Rakell (appendix). Still, he's safe to pass over in fantasy leagues given that he's just now getting a look.
