Great goaltending and the KHL don't always go together, and the league has provided blooper reels with a seemingly endless loop of content for several years when it comes to goaltending gaffes.

But this is not one of those times.

During his team's 3-2 loss to CSKA Moscow on Thursday, HC Lev goaltender Tomas Popperle made this desperation leg save on Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski as he was left all alone in front of the net.

You don't see Grabovski miss from that close very often, so that's a heck of a save.

Grabovski made up for it later in the game, however, scoring his fourth goal of the season in the second period.

Popperle was a fifth-round pick by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2005 but never played in the NHL. He spent the 2010-11 season playing in the Czech Republic.
