  • Texans' Jalen Pitre: Gets extension from Houston

Pitre (pectoral) has agreed to terms on a three-year extension with the Texans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Pitre's deal -- which is reportedly worth roughly $39 million -- includes $29.2 million in guarantees, which would make him the NFL's highest-paid nickel back. In 12 games during the 2024 regular season, the 25-year-old recorded 65 tackles and an interception prior to sustaining a season-ending pectoral injury. Per Aaron Wilson, KPRC 2 Houston, Pitre is on track to participate in OTAs, which puts the 2022 second-rounder in line to reclaim his key role in a Houston secondary that also features Derek Stingley, who the team signed to a lucrative three-year extension last month.

  • Raiders' Devin White: Lands in Las Vegas

The Raiders are signing White to a one-year contract Friday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports. White reunites with general manager John Spytek, who was Tampa Bay's director of player personnel when the Buccaneers made White a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The veteran linebacker began the 2024 season with Philadelphia, but he didn't appear in a game with the Eagles before being cut, then landing in Houston. He appeared in seven-regular season contests with the Texans but sat out the team's two playoff matchups. White will now compete to rebound with the Raiders, with Las Vegas in dire need of playmakers in the linebacker corps.

  • Vikings' Jeff Okudah: Signs with Minnesota

Okudah agreed to a one-year deal with the Vikings on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Okudah joins a retooled Minnesota secondary -- while the club managed to retain Byron Murphy on a massive deal, it otherwise lost Shaquill Griffin, Stephon Gilmore and Fabian Moreau to the open market. Okudah has only appeared in 49 percent of his teams' regular-season games through his first five seasons.

  • Texans' Derek Stingley: Becomes highest-paid DB

Stingley and the Texans reached agreement Monday on a three-year, $90 million extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. It isn't even close, in fact, with Stingley easily topping the deal recently signed by Carolina's Jaycee Horn ($25 million AAV, $46.7 million guaranteed, per OverTheCap). Selected third overall in the 2022 Draft, Stingley played just 10 games over his final two years at LSU and then missed 14 games during his first two professional seasons, before finally staying healthy for a full campaign in 2024 (17 regular-season games, two playoff appearances). He has 36 pass defenses and 11 interceptions in 37 career regular-season games, and he added five more PDs and two INTs in Houston's two playoff contests this January, shortly after being named as a First-Team All Pro.
