Jaguars vs. Cardinals: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Jaguars vs. Cardinals football game
The Jacksonville Jaguars' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Arizona Cardinals at 1 p.m. ET Sept. 26 at TIAA Bank Field. The Jaguars will be seeking to avenge the 27-24 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Nov. 26 of 2017.
Jacksonville came up short against the Denver Broncos last week, falling 23-13. One thing holding Jacksonville back was the mediocre play of QB Trevor Lawrence, who did not have his best game: despite one touchdown, he threw two interceptions with only 118 yards passing.
Arizona can thank their lucky stars for their win over the Minnesota Vikings last week. The final score was a hard-fought 34-33. Arizona QB Kyler Murray was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 400 yards on 36 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 31 yards. Near the top of the highlight reel was Murray's 77-yard TD bomb to WR Rondale Moore in the second quarter.
Special teams collected ten points for Arizona. K Matt Prater booted in two field goals, the longest a 62-yarder in the second quarter, which ultimately accounted for the difference in the matchup.
Jacksonville is expected to lose this next one by 7.5. They have failed bettors playing the spread in all their past two games, so buyers beware.
Arizona's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Jacksonville's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if the Cardinals can add another positive mark to their record or if the Jaguars can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Arizona's step.
