Three months after former Ravens safety Matt Elam was arrested on drug charges, the 2013 first-round pick has been arrested again, according to multiple outlets, and this time faces charges of grand theft and domestic battery. TMZ first reported the arrest.
Elam allegedly got into a fight with his girlfriend over a cell phone. According to the police report obtained by TMZ and USA Today, police were called to the girlfriend's Delray Beach, Florida, home around 4 a.m. The girlfriend and her mother told authorities that Elam came to the house to pick up his car, and while there he also tried to grab his girlfriend's cell phone out of her hand because he had paid for it. She said they fell to the ground while fighting over the phone.
According to the police report, Elam told police that his girlfriend then went into the his car and took his cell phone. Elam said he left the area when she refused to give it back.

Police found Elam several hours later at a house in the area, and he was later booked for domestic battery and grand theft. He is being held on $4,500 bond.
Elam, who is arguably the biggest draft bust in Ravens history, wasn't re-signed by the team this offseason after four tumultuous years in Baltimore. He remains a free agent.
