Sacramento recalled Jones from the G League's Stockton Kings on Wednesday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. Jones played in Stockton's loss to the G League Ignite on Tuesday, but it was his worst performance of the season, as he totaled just four points (2-8 FG) in 27 minutes. The rookie second-round pick figures to continue bouncing back and forth between the NBA club and G League squad throughout the season.... See More ... See Less

Kings' Colby Jones: Recalled to NBA
Sacramento recalled Jones from the G League Stockton Kings on Saturday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. Jones has appeared in eight NBA contests this season, averaging 3.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game. However, Sacamento's backcourt is back to full strength, so Jones shouldn't see any playing time during Saturday's matchup versus Denver.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Colby Jones: Available Friday
Jones (hip) is available for Friday's game against Minnesota. Jones is usually on the outside of the rotation, so his availability doesn't carry many fantasy implications.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Colby Jones: Questionable to play
Jones is questionable for Friday's game against the Timberwolves due to left hip soreness. Jones is just a fringe rotation player for the Kings, so his availability Friday -- or lack thereof -- won't have many fantasy implications. The rookie has averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 8.6 minutes across eight appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Colby Jones: Recalled to Sacramento
Sacramento recalled Jones from the G League's Stockton Kings on Saturday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. After a productive run of performances in the G League, Jones will rejoin the parent club ahead of Sunday's game against the Mavericks. With wing Kevin Huerter (finger) listed as questionable for Sunday, Jones could end up taking on a small role in the rotation against Dallas if Huerter is sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Colby Jones: Scores first NBA points
Jones closed Wednesday's 102-101 loss to the Warriors with four points (2-4 FG), three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 17 minutes. De'Aaron Fox's (ankle) absence allowed Jones to see his first extended run of his career. The rookie guard showed his defensive potential but will likely be relegated back to a depth role once Fox returns.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Colby Jones: Sitting out Saturday
Jones (undisclosed) won't play in Saturday's Summer League game against the Bucks, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Jones exited Thursday's contest early and will miss Sacramento's Summer League finale Saturday. The second-round pick will likely compete for a depth role in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Colby Jones: All-around performance in win
Jones recorded 19 points (8-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 31 minutes during Monday's 80-70 Summer League win over the Clippers. Jones led the Kings in points and rebounds in Monday's win. The second-round pick in the 2023 NBA draft has stood out as one of Sacramento's top performers in the Summer League.... See More ... Kings' Colby Jones: Heading to Sacramento via trade
Jones was selected by the Celtics with the 34th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and traded to the Kings in exchange for the No. 38 overall pick and a future second-rounder, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Jones spent three seasons at Xavier and led the Musketeers to an NIT title following the 2021-22 campaign. He averaged 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 33.9 minutes per game last year before deciding to enter the NBA Draft. Jones can score in transition while also possessing solid defensive abilities, and he has the size to serve as a shooting guard or small forward in the NBA. He'll likely compete with Malik Monk, Kessler Edwards and Terence Davis for playing time on the wing as a reserve.... See More ... See Less
