  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Pivotal in Game 1 win

Suggs logged 16 points (6-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals across 36 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 112-101 win over Detroit in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Suggs played a pivotal role for the Magic, despite eventually fouling out. The biggest impact was, as per usual, on the defensive end, where he tallied four combined steals and blocks, not to mention a number of deflections. The upset win now sees Orlando take a 1-0 series lead over its more fancied opponents, with Game 2 scheduled for Wednesday in Detroit.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Serviceable effort in win

Suggs recorded 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt), five rebounds, six assists and one block in 22 minutes before fouling out of Friday's 121-90 Play-In Game victory over the Hornets. Suggs logged modest playing time as Orlando easily accounted for Charlotte, advancing to the first round of the playoffs to face the Pistons. Although Suggs' production was somewhat muted, his impact on the defensive end of the floor was undeniable. He continues to provide Orlando with energy on both ends and will need to be at his best for the Magic to have a chance of pulling off a first-round upset.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Makes three treys vs. Wolves

Suggs accumulated 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt), four assists and two steals over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 132-120 victory over the Timberwolves. Suggs didn't have a lot of touches on offense, but he was extremely sharp with his shot and drained three of his five three-pointers. It was his fourth straight game, and seventh of the last eight, in which he drained two or more treys. Suggs will need to be on point with his three-point shot in the playoffs, as the return of Franz Wagner means his role on offense will be even more secondary, as he'll sit behind Paolo Banchero, Desmond Bane and the German forward in terms of offensive touches and usage rate.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Season-high 12 assists

Suggs racked up 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, 12 assists, one block and three steals over 34 minutes during Monday's 123-107 victory over the Pistons. Suggs recorded his third double-double of the season, including a season-high 12 assists. When healthy, Suggs has been a revelation this season, putting up top-50 value through 54 appearances, averaging 13.7 points, 5.6 assists, 1.9 steals ad 2.0 three-pointers. At this point in his career, ongoing injury concerns are the only thing holding him back from being a regular top-60 target.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Stuffs stat sheet in win

Suggs supplied 20 points (6-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals across 38 minutes in Tuesday's 115-111 win over the Suns. Suggs turned in a well-rounded performance Tuesday and was Orlando's second-leading scorer, reaching the 20-point mark for the first time since March 12. He also finished third on the team in rebounds and second in assists. Additionally, the 24-year-old point guard made an impact on the defensive end, finishing one swipe shy of tying his season high. Suggs has been inconsistent on the offensive end of late, scoring in double figures in four of his last seven games while reaching the 15-point threshold just once.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Limited scoring output in return

Suggs amassed eight points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one block in 34 minutes during Thursday's 121-117 win over the Kings. Suggs returned to the hardwood after a two-game absence, and while he had a decent stat line, he failed to provide much value as a scoring weapon. This was his sixth consecutive game in which he couldn't reach the 15-point mark, and at this point, it's fair to consider Suggs only a secondary option on offense, well behind the one-two combo of Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane in terms of usage rate and shooting volume.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Remains questionable for Thursday

Suggs (illness) participated in the Magic's morning shootaround but remains questionable for Thursday's game against the Kings, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Head coach Jamahl Mosley said after shootaround that Suggs is "definitely" feeling better, so the guard is trending in the right direction as Thursday's 7 p.m. ET tipoff approaches. Suggs has missed the Magic's last two games while recovering from the illness.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Ruled out for Tuesday

Suggs (illness) won't play Tuesday against the Cavaliers, Philip Rossman-Reich of OrlandoMagicDaily.com reports. Suggs sat out of Monday's matchup after waking up under the weather, and the team has now moved forward with downgrading him to out for the second half of Orlando's back-to-back. Jevon Carter drew the start at point guard Monday and should be in position to do so again in Cleveland.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Out with illness

Suggs (illness) is out for Monday's game against the Pacers. Presumably, Suggs woke up under the weather as he wasn't on the original injury report. Monday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set, so it remains to be seen if he will be cleared in time for Tuesday. As for Monday, the Magic may need to rely heavily on Jevon Carter.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Continues producing steals

Suggs ended with 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Saturday's 105-104 loss to the Lakers. Suggs looks to be just about all the way back from a back issue that cost him some time in late February. The fifth-year guard has averaged 14.1 points, 5.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 31.0 minutes per contest in his last seven games, tallying at least one steal in each game.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: All-around game vs. OKC

Suggs logged 14 points (5-12 FG, 4-9 3Pt), seven rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block over 33 minutes during the Magic's 113-108 loss to the Thunder on Tuesday. Suggs finished Tuesday's game as the Magic's leader in assists and third in scoring behind Paolo Banchero (32 points) and Desmond Bane (16 points). It was the eighth time this season that Suggs connected on at least four three-pointers, and that is an encouraging sign seeing as he was connecting on just 22.2 percent of his three-point attempts (on 6.8 3PA/G) over his four prior outings. The fifth-year guard has averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 threes and 1.6 steals over 29.9 minutes per game since March 1.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Stuffs stat sheet Thursday

Suggs provided 28 points (10-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 34 minutes during Thursday's 136-131 overtime victory over Washington. Suggs ended just two assists away from recording a double-double in this win, and he delivered at least two tallies in five of the major categories to deliver a loaded line. The floor general has scored in double digits in his seven outings since returning to the starting lineup March 1, averaging 16.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game in that span.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Drops efficient 20 points

Suggs posted 20 points (7-9 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 24 minutes during Sunday's 130-91 victory over the Bucks. Sunday marked Suggs' ninth game of the season with at least 20 points. The point guard's workload is stabilizing following a recent three-game absence with a back issue. Suggs has averaged 15.0 points, 5.2 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks in 27.5 minutes per game across his last five outings.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Returns to normal workload

Suggs closed with 14 points (4-17 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one block over 26 minutes during Sunday's 106-92 loss to the Pistons. After logging just 13 minutes off the bench in Thursday's loss to Houston, Suggs returned to his typical spot in the starting lineup and doubled up on his playing time. The 2021 first-rounder has been in and out of the Orlando lineup all year long, but it seems like he's ready to handle his usual workload going forward. Over his last eight appearances, Suggs has averaged 12.0 points, 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 1.6 blocks in 26.2 minutes per game.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Starting Sunday

Suggs will start against the Pistons on Sunday. Suggs returned from a three-game absence due to a back issue in Thursday's loss to Houston, posting three points (1-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two steals, one rebound and one block over 13 minutes off the bench. However, he'll return to the first unit Sunday due to Anthony Black (quadriceps) being sidelined. Still, it wouldn't be surprising to see Suggs remain on a minutes restriction.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Non-factor in return

Suggs (back) posted three points (1-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two steals, one rebound and one block over 13 minutes during Orlando's 113-108 loss to Houston on Thursday. Suggs came off the bench Thursday in his return from a three-game absence due to a back strain. The fifth-year guard struggled to get anything going and led the team with four turnovers while finishing with no assists and a minus-11 point differential. Suggs seemed to be out of rhythm, which led to him playing just three minutes in the second half while sitting on the bench for the entire fourth quarter. He should see his playing time increase in Sunday's game against the Pistons, though it's uncertain if Suggs will take back his spot in the starting five from Tristan da Silva.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Questionable for Tuesday

Suggs (back) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers. Suggs has a chance to end a two-game absence with back spasms. Tristan da Silva would likely remain in the starting lineup for a third consecutive contest in the event that Suggs is unable to play Tuesday.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Questionable to play Sunday

Suggs (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns. Suggs didn't play in the first leg of the back-to-back set Saturday, but the questionable tag leaves the door open for a potential return to action Sunday. Suggs last played in Thursday's win over the Kings, when he recorded nine points, three rebounds, three assists and one block over 20 minutes.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Not playing Saturday

Suggs (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Suns. Suggs will be sidelined for the first leg of the Magic's back-to-back set due to back spasms, but the fifth-year guard could be available for Sunday's road tilt against the Clippers. The Magic will turn to Jevon Carter, Jett Howard, Jase Richardson and Tristan da Silva to pick up the slack in Suggs' absence.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Hits for team-high 20 in loss

Suggs closed with 20 points (7-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 128-92 loss to the Thunder. The 20 points led Orlando in the rout. It was Suggs' best scoring effort in six games since returning from a knee injury, and he appears close to regaining his usual form, averaging 13.8 points, 6.5 assists, 5.0 boards, 2.3 threes and 1.3 steals over the last four contests.
