  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Drops 14 points in loss

McCullar finished with 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds, two steals and one assist across 25 minutes during Sunday's 110-96 loss to the Hornets. McCullar dealt with a quadriceps injury in late March that kept him from playing at the tail end of the G League season, but the two-way player has been healthy for the past couple of weeks. With the Knicks holding out seven players for Sunday's game and with Mikal Bridges playing less than a minute before checking out of the game for good, McCullar got the chance to see some extended run at the NBA level. Due to his terms of his two-way contract, McCullar won't be eligible to suit up for the Knicks during the postseason. He finished the regular season with averages of 2.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 7.4 minutes per game across 21 appearances.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: No longer on injury report

McCullar (quadriceps) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Rockets. McCullar, who's seen the majority of his minutes this season while with the G League's Westchester Knicks, has missed time due to a right quadriceps injury. However, he's managed to put this injury behind him. The G League regular season concluded Saturday, so McCullar will be available for Tuesday's game in Houston if needed. The 25-year-old is averaging 1.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 20 appearances with New York this year.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Gets light run in double-OT win

McCullar (calf) played two minutes in Wednesday's 134-127 double-overtime win over the Nuggets, recording zero points (0-1 FG), two assists and one rebound. The two-way player hadn't seen action for the Knicks or their G League affiliate since Jan. 17 while managing a calf issue, but he made enough improvement in his recovery to join the parent club ahead of Wednesday's contest. He handled a light role off the bench, checking into the game four times late in the first, second and fourth quarters as well as the first overtime period. McCullar is unlikely to be included in the rotation in the Knicks' next game Friday in Detroit, especially if trade-deadline pickup Dalen Terry and/or Josh Hart (ankle) and Miles McBride (ankle) return from injuries.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Stuffs stat sheet in G League

McCullar generated 23 points (7-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks in 37 minutes during Friday's 114-104 G League win over the Windy City Bulls. With the parent club nearly at full strength, McCullar made his first G League appearance since Dec. 22 and led the team in dimes. The 24-year-old has now played seven games with the Westchester Knicks this year, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him continue spending time in the G League as long as New York's backcourt is healthy.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Notches four points

McCullar supplied four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 16 minutes during Monday's 121-90 loss to Detroit. McCullar continues to see run in Josh Hart's (ankle) absence, and Hart is expected to miss at least a couple more outings. McCullar isn't yet on the fantasy radar, however, as he's averaging 2.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.5 steals in 11.5 minutes over his last four appearances.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Won't play Tuesday

McCullar (nose) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Summer League game against the Nets, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports. McCullar will miss Tuesday's contest due to a nasal contusion, and his next opportunity to feature will come Thursday against the Pacers. The 2024 second-round pick last appeared in Sunday's loss to the Celtics, posting 30 points (10-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), four rebounds, two steals and one assist in 28 minutes.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Drops 30 in SL loss

McCullar went for 30 points (10-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), four rebounds, two steals and one assist in 28 minutes during Sunday's 94-81 Summer League loss to the Celtics. McCullar was the only player on the Knicks Summer League squad to score in double figures Sunday, racking up a game-high 30 points on solid efficiency. McCullar did much of his work from inside the three-point line and from the free-throw line, logging nine makes from both two-point range and the stripe. The only critiques of McCullar's strong performance were missing four of five three-point attempts, as well as committing a Summer League special of eight personal fouls.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Productive in G League playoff loss

McCullar played 37 minutes Thursday during the G League Westchester Knicks' 124-118 playoff loss versus Maine and logged 21 points (9-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and two steals. McCullar led the team in assists and finished second in points scored behind Moses Brown during Thursday's playoff loss. The former averaged 11.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals across 13 outings in the G League and could be recalled to the parent club ahead of its playoff run.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Sees action late in blowout

McCullar (knee) played the final 2:58 of Tuesday's 105-91 win over the 76ers, finishing with zero points (0-1 FG) and one foul during his time on the court. While he was on assignment in the G League, McCullar was inactive for the Westchester Knicks' regular-season finale Saturday against the Capital City Go-Go due to right knee soreness, but the two-way player's ability to play in the tail end of a blowout win with the parent club three days later suggests that he's healthy again. McCullar has made just two appearances at the NBA level all season, and he'll likely rejoin Westchester when it begins its G League playoff run Thursday versus the Maine Celtics.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Won't play Monday

McCullar (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Cavaliers. McCullar won't suit up Monday, though his absence should not affect the club's rotation. The 23-year-old's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against the Heat.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Out for Friday

McCullar (knee) is out for Friday's game against the Pacers. McCullar will miss a second straight game, though he's not expected to play a big role when healthy. Thus, his absence won't generate a lot of fantasy buzz.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Sidelined to start campaign

McCullar (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Celtics. McCullar underwent left knee surgery in the spring and missed the entire preseason schedule while rehabbing. The rookie out of Kansas doesn't have a return timetable, but when healthy, he's expected to spend most of his time with the G League's Westchester Knicks after inking a two-way deal this summer.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Rehabbing during training camp

McCullar is with the Knicks during their training camp in Charleston, South Carolina, but is still rehabbing his left knee after undergoing surgery in the spring, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. McCullar's final collegiate season at Kansas was cut short due to his knee injury and it might cause him to miss time this season for the Knicks. Regardless, McCullar is expected to spend much of the 2024-25 campaign with the Westchester Knicks of the G League.

  • Knicks' Kevin McCullar: Inks two-way pact

The Knicks signed McCullar (knee) to a two-way contract Monday. After being selected by the club with the No. 56 overall pick of the 2024 Draft, McCullar will officially join the Knicks on a two-way pact. The 23-year-old's final collegiate season was cut short due to him undergoing surgery on his left knee, and he averaged 18.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 26 regular-season games before being shut down. McCullar will likely spend most of his rookie season with the team's G League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks, as he is buried behind a plethora of talent at the forward spot.
