  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Struggles continue

Mitchell accumulated 28 points (11-26 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals across 44 minutes during Wednesday's 106-95 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Mitchell did all he could for the Cavaliers in the win-or-go-home game against the Knicks. Even though he led his team in scoring, the talented guard once again struggled with his shot. Mitchell couldn't get it going from downtown and connected on only three triples on 12 attempts. After shooting a respectable 48.4 percent from the field in the regular season, Mitchell dropped that to 43.3 percent in the postseason. The fifth-year vet will look to put this tough series behind him and prepare for his sixth NBA campaign.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Struggles on offense in Game 4 loss

Mitchell provided 11 points (5-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one steal in 42 minutes during Sunday's 102-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Mitchell struggled shooting from the field while being held without a three in Sunday's Game 4 loss. Mitchell did finish as one of six Cavaliers players with 10 or more points, but scored just two points while shooting 1-for-9 in the second half of Sunday's game. The guard failed to score at least 15 points for the first time this postseason.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Struggles from field Friday

Mitchell totaled 22 points (9-19 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Friday's 99-79 loss to New York in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Mitchell had a rough night Friday but still paced the Cavaliers in scoring, though that doesn't say much, considering the team only managed to put up 79 total points. Mitchell should remain one of the Cavaliers' go-to players on the offensive end of the floor throughout the team's postseason run. He's averaging 25.7 points per game in the series while shooting 48.3 percent from the field.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Scores game-high 38 points

Mitchell posted 38 points (14-30 FG, 6-16 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds, eight assists, one block and three steals in 44 minutes during Saturday's 101-97 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Mitchell was the main source of offense for Cleveland, as Darius Garland (17 points, one assist) and Jarrett Allen (14) were the only other Cavaliers to score in double figures. The stellar playoff performance was nothing new for the superstar shooting guard, who had plenty of similar outings during his time in Utah, and he may need to replicate his production in Game 2 on Tuesday to help an inexperienced Cleveland squad avoid an 0-2 hole.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Will play Saturday

Mitchell (finger) isn't listed on the injury report for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the Knicks on Saturday.

Mitchell missed back-to-back games to end the regular season due to a finger issue, but as expected, he's good to go for playoff action. Before his absences, the All-Star guard scored 40-plus points in four consecutive contests, posting 42.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 40.3 minutes during that stretch.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Out again Sunday

Mitchell (finger) will not play in Sunday's matchup versus Charlotte.

Mitchell will sit out the Cavaliers' regular-season finale Sunday, marking his second consecutive absence with a sprained finger. With Cleveland locked into the fourth seed, Mitchell will have a week to recover before the opening round of the playoffs. In the meantime, Cedi Osman, Danny Green and Sam Merrill could see extended run Sunday.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Won't play Thursday

Mitchell has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Magic due to a sprained finger on his left hand.

Mitchell has scored at least 40 points in four straight games, but he'll take a seat Thursday, along with Jarrett Allen (groin), Darius Garland (leg), Evan Mobley (rest), Isaac Okoro (knee) and Caris LeVert (knee). With all those regulars sidelined, there should be plenty of opportunities for Ricky Rubio, Raul Neto, Cedi Osman, Sam Merrill and Dean Wade to make an impact. Mitchell's next chance to suit up will come during Cleveland's regular-season finale against Charlotte on Sunday.
