Towns recorded his second double-double of the series, although it wasn't enough as the Knicks fell to the Pistons. Towns' production has been serviceable thus far, averaging 21.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 6.0 blocks and 2.4 three-pointers across the five-game series. Game 6 will be in Detroit on Thursday, where Towns and the Knicks will be looking to wrap things up.... See More ... See Less

Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Hits go-ahead three in Game 4
Towns tallied 27 points (10-22 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one block over 40 minutes in Sunday's 94-93 win over the Pistons in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Towns scored all eight of his fourth-quarter points in the final three minutes of the frame, including a 27-foot three-pointer with 47.0 seconds left for what was ultimately the game-winning shot. Towns has bounced back from a quiet Game 2 to score 58 points across his last two games, and he played a key role in the Knicks going up 3-1 in the series heading into Game 5 on Tuesday. He is shooting 53.8 from the field (including 52.6 percent from three on 4.8 3PA/G) in the series.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Game-high 31 points in win
Towns closed Thursday's 118-116 win over the Pistons in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 31 points (10-18 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), eight rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal over 41 minutes. Towns erupted for a game-high 31 points after recording just 10 points, six rebounds and a block during Monday's Game 2 loss. The big man knocked down four triples for the first time since March 26 and was much more aggressive from the field after making only five shots in Game 2. Towns' effort helped give the Knicks a 2-1 series lead, and he's averaging 21.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 steals across 37.7 minutes per game during the first round.... Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Quiet showing in Game 2 defeat
Towns chipped in 10 points (5-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt), six rebounds and one block in 33 minutes during Monday's 100-94 loss to the Pistons in Game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Towns had somewhat of a quiet outing in Monday's postseason contest, struggling to find his shot from deep and just crossing the double-digit scoring total in a disappointing Game 2 performance. Towns recorded a 20-10 outing in Game 1 but took a step back in Game 2 while struggling to find his shot. Look for Towns to have a bounce-back showing in Game 3 with the series now tied 1-1.... Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Double-double in Game 1
Towns ended with 23 points (10-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and four steals in 39 minutes during Saturday's 123-112 win over the Pistons in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Usually known for his offense, Towns made his impact on the defensive side of the floor in Game 1, hauling in 11 boards while swatting two shots and grabbing four of the Knicks' 12 steals in the win. Towns averaged a career-high 12.8 rebounds during the regular season, and he'll need to be strong on the glass against Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart (knee) in this series.... See More ... See Less -

The superstar big man averaged 24.4 points and a career-high 12.8 rebounds per game, shooting 52.6 percent from the field and 42 percent from deep.... See More ... See Less -

Towns (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nets, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports. Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Not playing Friday
Towns (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Cavaliers, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. Towns will sit for the second leg of the Knicks' back-to-back set Friday as he works through a lingering left knee injury, and his next chance to play is in the Knicks' regular-season finale against the Nets on Sunday. Mitchell Robinson and Precious Achiuwa will serve as the Knicks' top big men in Towns' absence.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Questionable for Friday
Towns (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Cavaliers. Friday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, and the Knicks appear to be contemplating a maintenance day. If he's unavailable to play Friday, the Knicks could rely on Mitchell Robinson and Precious Achiuwa.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Leading scorer in double-double
Towns notched 25 points (10-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Thursday's 115-106 loss to Detroit. Towns led the way for New York in Thursday's showdown, pacing all players in scoring and shots made while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total in a double-double performance. Towns has stepped up as of late for the Knicks, posted at least 25 points and 10 rebounds in four of his last five contests.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Big double-double not enough
Towns registered a team-high 34 points (14-21 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 43 minutes during Tuesday's 119-117 overtime loss to Boston. The double-double was the 57th of the season for Towns, tied with Nikola Jokic for second in the NBA and one back of Domantas Sabonis. Towns has also recorded a double-double in 10 straight appearances as the Knicks try to lock up the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, a stretch in which he's averaged 24.7 points, 11.9 boards, 2.9 assists, 1.5 threes and 1.0 steals while shooting 52.3 percent from the floor.... Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Posts another double-double
Towns had 19 points (7-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Sunday's 112-98 victory over Phoenix. Towns recorded either a double-double or a triple-double for a ninth consecutive game, but this was far from his best performance, mainly since he missed his three shots from beyond the arc while failing to record more than 15 field-goal attempts for the third time over his last four outings. The Knicks' chances of a deep playoff run lie heavily on Towns' shoulders, and the big man has mostly delivered. He's averaging 23.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game over that nine-game double-double streak.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Briefly exits Saturday
Towns appeared to hurt his left ring finger and headed back to the locker room with 7:39 remaining in the second quarter of Saturday's game versus the Hawks before checking back in with 5:26 left in the second quarter, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports. Towns tallied 12 points (4-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 12 minutes before exiting Saturday's contest. However, Towns ultimately missed just over two minutes of game time and should be able to play out the remainder of the game.... See More ... See Less -

After getting a maintenance day Tuesday versus the 76ers on the front end of a back-to-back set, Towns is expected back in the lineup despite some soreness in his left knee. With Towns likely suiting up, Mitchell Robinson will likely shift to the bench after an impressive fill-in start Tuesday with 14 points and 14 rebounds in 21 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Won't play against Philadelphia
Towns is out for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia due to left knee soreness, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports. The superstar big man can be considered day-to-day ahead of the second end of New York's back-to-back set Wednesday in Cleveland. Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby should see plenty of playmaking opportunities against the 76ers.... See More ... See Less -

Towns has stayed relatively healthy this season for the Knicks but could be in danger of missing Tuesday's game against Philadelphia due to knee soreness.
