  • Knicks' Damien Inglis: Waived by Knicks

Inglis was waived by the Knicks on Friday.

Inglis was a long shot to make the team's final roster when he was signed just over 10 days ago and was destined for the team's D-League affiliate in Westchester. If Inglis impressed the Knicks enough, he should be invited to join the D-League team. Otherwise, Inglis is likely headed overseas.

  • Knicks' Damien Inglis: Signs with Knicks

Inglis signed a contract with the Knicks on Tuesday, Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops reports.

The terms of the contract haven't been fully disclosed, but it's likely a non-guaranteed deal that would allow the Knicks to waive Inglis without significant penalty. The Frenchman flamed out of the league after two uneventful years with the Bucks, during which time he dealt with a nagging foot injury and played in only 20 games. He's likely just being brought in by the Knicks so he can be evaluated for a roster spot with their D-League affiliate in Westchester, according to ESPN.com's Ian Begley.

  • Damien Inglis: Waived by Bucks

Inglis was waived by the Bucks on Wednesday, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

A second-round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Inglis missed his first season entirely due to a foot injury and then went on to play in just 20 games during the 2015-16 season. Inglis was unable to work himself into anything more than a deep reserve role, so the Bucks felt it was in their best interest to let go of him and open up a roster spot. At just 21 years old, Inglis still has some potential, so he at least shouldn't have trouble earning an invite to training camp from a team.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Plays 20 games in 2015-16

Inglis, who was held out of his entire rookie season due to a fractured foot, averaged 1.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.2 blocks during eight minutes per game through 20 games during his second year in the league.

Inglis made most of his impact towards the end of the season, playing in 12 games since March 12, including a 10-point, five-rebound performance on March 17 against the Grizzlies. The 20-year-old could see an expanded role next season as he continues to grow as a player behind Giannis Antetokounmpo on the depth chart. Inglis is under contract through the 2017-18 season.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Will start against Bulls on Sunday

Inglis will get the start at two guard in Sunday's game against Chicago, C.F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Inglis will receive the start with Khris Middleton sitting due to a left thigh strain. According to Gardner Inglis has sat out three of Milwaukee's last four games as a coach's decision, so it is hard to tell what Inglis' work load will be like on Sunday. However, the Bucks only have 10 available players for Sunday's game, and given that they are eliminated from playoff contention, it wouldn't be shocking to see head coach Jason Kidd experiment with his second-year forward from France.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Seeing inconsistent minutes

Inglis played only six minutes in Saturday's loss to Detroit.

After spending most of the early part of the season glued to the bench or in the D-League, Inglis has seen a slightly increased role in March, appearing in eight contests and averaging 2.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.0 minutes per game. The uptick in minutes coincided with rookie Rashad Vaughn being sent to the D-League, but with Vaughn now back, Inglis' minutes will likely be few and far between down the stretch.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Contributes 10 points off bench in Thursday victory

Inglis contributed 10 points (3-5 FG, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 22 minutes in Thursday's 96-86 victory over the Grizzlies.

The rookie forward surprisingly received a career-high allotment of playing time, after having been on the court for a combined nine minutes over the previous three games, and for seven total minutes between Nov. 11 and Mar. 9. All of his numbers Thursday represented career bests as well, and he encouragingly was given the opportunity in what was a competitive contest. Inglis could be in line for similar run over the balance of the regular season, although he remains buried down the official small forward depth chart at the moment.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Recalled from NBA D-League

Inglis was recalled from the D-League's Westchester Knicks, the team announced Monday.

Inglis has played in 13 games for Westchester after being assigned in mid-January, and he has averaged 9.9 points and 4.9 rebounds in 21.4 minutes over that span. The move likely comes as a result of Steve Novak being ruled out for the remainder of the season with a left knee injury, and while Inglis likely won't see much of the court over the final month and a half, he does add depth on the wing for the Bucks.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Struggling in D-League

Inglis is averaging 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists through 11 D-League games.

Inglis was sent to the D-League midway through last month and has spent time with the Canton Charge, as well as the Westchester Knicks. The 2014 second-rounder is shooting just 41.6 percent from the floor while knocking down 34.3 percent of his three-point attempts (3.2 attempts/game). It's unclear when Inglis will return to Milwaukee, but the 20-year-old looks to be at least another year away from being a meaningful contributor at the NBA level.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: No longer listed on injury report

Inglis (ankle) isn't listed on the Bucks' injury report heading into Friday's game against the Mavericks, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Right ankle soreness prevented Inglis from traveling with the Bucks on their four-game road trip that concluded Jan. 2 in Minnesota, but he was available off the bench in the team's most recent contest Tuesday against the Bulls. However, Inglis didn't end up seeing the court in the game, which has been a recurring theme this season for the second-year forward. He's only appeared in seven games and doesn't look like he'll be added to the rotation in the near future.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Dealing with ankle injury

Inglis is dealing with a sore right ankle and did not travel on the Bucks' road trip, Charles Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The Bucks will not play at home agin until Jan. 4, so it's likely that Inglis will be out at least until then, unless he shows significant improvement in the coming days. He was not seeing regular minutes, so his absence is not likely to have much of an effect on the Bucks' rotation.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Recalled from D-League

Inglis is expected to rejoin the team Saturday after spending some time in the D-League, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Inglis should provide some depth at forward with multiple Bucks already sitting out due to injuries. He likely won't exceed 10 minutes in a game, which puts a major damper on his fantasy value.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Assigned to D-League

Inglis was assigned to Canton of the D-League on Monday, NBA.com reports.

With Jabari Parker (foot) and O.J. Mayo (hamstring) returning from injury last week, the Bucks are as healthy as they've been all season, and don't really have much of a need to keep Inglis up in the NBA. The rookie has only made five appearances on the season and hadn't played in the team's last five games.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Fais to see any action Wednesday.

Inglis didn't see any minutes Wednesday in Denver as the Bucks fell 103-102.

The small forward has appeared in five of Milwaukee's first nine tilts, and Inglis is averaging 7.0 minutes per game. He hasn't been much of an offensive threat (1.6 PPG, 1.6 RPG) when he does get his opportunities to play, and he continues to be slotted behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Chris Copeland on the depth chart.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Doesn't see any action Monday

Inglis failed to see the court in Milwaukee's 103-96 win against the Nets on Monday.

Inglis doesn't look to be in the mix for much playing time on this roster, especially when everyone is healthy. He is currently behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Chris Copeland at small forward, and also Jabari Parker (knee) is expected to return Wednesday which will push Inglis' chance for minutes down even more.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Returns to practice

Inglis (illness) returned to practice Monday, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Inglis had been bothered by flu-like symptoms for almost two weeks, but after taking some time off to recover, it looks like he's nursed himself back to full health. He'll likely put in another hard practice Tuesday to regain some conditioning, but he's not extended to see much extended run off the bench during Wednesday's season opener against the Knicks.

  • Bucks' Damien Inglis: Set to miss out Friday with ongoing illness

Inglis is still dealing with flu-like symptoms and won't take part in Friday's preseason game against the Timberwolves, CF Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Inglis was able to do some light work at Milwaukee's training facility Thursday but his status for the season opener against the Knicks on Wednesday is still up in the air. Although, he's buried on the depth chart and won't necessarily dress out in the regular season even when he returns to health.
