Connaughton didn't play in Tuesday's Game 5 loss to the Pacers. He closed the regular season with averages of 5.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.6 three-pointers in 14.7 minutes per game over 41 contests (one start). Connaughton's playing time in Milwaukee continued to dwindle in 2024-25, as it was his fourth straight season that his minutes per game declined. The veteran sharpshooter also totaled just 13 minutes across three playoff appearances this year. With Taurean Prince and Gary Trent headed for unrestricted free agency this summer, however, Connaughton could find himself in a more prominent three-and-D role for the Bucks if he picks up his 2025-26 player option.... Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Career-best effort in OT win
Connaughton amassed 43 points (16-29 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists and two steals across 44 minutes during Sunday's 140-133 overtime win over the Pistons. There was nothing on the line for either team in the regular-season finale, and with most of the Bucks' usual starters getting rested, Connaughton stepped up with a career-best scoring performance, as well as his first double-double since the 2022-23 season. The 32-year-old forward should return to his bench role when Milwaukee begins its playoff run Saturday in Indiana -- prior to Sunday, he hadn't seen 20-plus minutes in a game since Feb. 5.... Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Available to play Thursday
Connaughton (ankle) is available for Thursday's game against the Pelicans, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. Connaughton will return from a two-game absence Thursday due to a sprained right ankle. The veteran forward has averaged 6.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists across 16.0 minutes per game in his last five appearances. However, with Bobby Portis back in action following a 25-game suspension, Connaughton could see a dip in playing time.... See More ... See Less -

However, he can return to the floor for Milwaukee on Thursday against New Orleans. Connaughton (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves. The former Notre Dame standout is averaging 11.7 minutes per game in eight contests since the All-Star break, so even if he's available, he won't have a lot of upside in most fantasy formats.... With Damian Lillard (calf) sidelined, Connaughton has averaged 16.0 minutes over his past five appearances.... See More ... See Less -

Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA5D agoBucks switched a lot in Indy, too, but I liked the aggression and energy they showed doing it tonight. Better ball pressure off ball, more concerted effort to make Hali go left. You expect it from AJ, GTJ, KPJ, but Dame’s defensive energy and playmaking was really notable too.
-
Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA5D agoGTJ and AJ being the Bucks’ two best shooting guards yet combining for only 16 starts remains the weirdest rotation decision of the season, so it was great to see Gary light it up as a starter and AJ hit big shots and do all the little stuff on both ends.
