Mills will revert to his usual reserve role in Saturday's Game 1 matchup with the 76ers. Mills got a spot-start in the Nets' regular-season finale. He will now provide depth in the backcourt if he is called upon.... See More ... See Less

Nets' Patty Mills: Nabs start Sunday
Mills will start Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Sixers. Mills should be in line for heftier minutes and usage than usual with most of the Nets' regulars out of commission. However, his role should decline to a minimum when the playoffs fire up.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Plays 16 minutes in loss
Mills finished Sunday's 119-106 loss to the Magic with four points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and two assists over 16 minutes. With Seth Curry (personal) and Royce O'Neale (rest) sidelined, Mills saw his first game action since March 9. However, the veteran wasn't all that aggressive and failed to make a major impact as the Nets dropped a disappointing game to Orlando. Mills has made just three appearances since Feb. 11, so he can safely be ignored in most fantasy formats, especially if O'Neale is back in action for Brooklyn moving forward.... See More ... Nets' Patty Mills: Goes for 23 points
Mills chipped in 23 points (8-16 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Thursday's 118-113 loss to the Bucks. With a handful of Brooklyn's regulars sidelined for the first half of a back-to-back set and head coach Jacque Vaughn opting to bench his starters following a slow start Thursday, Mills saw action for just the second time since the league resumed following the All-Star break, and he came out of nowhere to record his second-best scoring mark of the campaign. Despite the solid stat line, the veteran floor general is not a consistent part of the rotation. He's not expected to see consistent minutes going forward, meaning he won't be an asset in fantasy, either.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Doesn't do much in 12 minutes
Mills provided zero points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and one block in 12 minutes during Monday's 124-116 loss to the Clippers. Mills hasn't been a consistent part of the Nets' rotation, even with them missing a lot of key players in their backcourt, and he didn't do anything to change that with his scoreless performance on Monday night. He belongs on the waiver wire in most formats.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Brings scoring punch off bench
Mills finished Monday's 121-104 win over the Lakers with 21 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three assists and two steals in 26 minutes. With both T.J. Warren (shin) and Ben Simmons (knee) joining Kevin Durant (knee) on the sideline for the second game in a row, Mills was once again able to handle double-digit minutes with the second unit. He made the most of the opportunity, catching fire from downtown and cleaning up at the free-throw line en route to his second-best scoring performance of the season. Mills can be an appealing streaming option for three-pointers in games when he's guaranteed 20 minutes, but he'll likely be in store for a significant role reduction as soon as at least one of Warren, Simmons and Durant is available to play again.... Nets' Patty Mills: Rare appearance Saturday
Mills contributed seven points (3-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt), one rebound and two assists in 11 minutes during Saturday's 122-115 victory over New York. Mills was in the rotation for the second straight game, logging 11 minutes following a 19-minute effort Thursday. It's been a rough season for Mills, who remains on the bench for the majority of games. While he does provide a solid locker room presence, Mills is no longer a viable fantasy asset, even in the deepest of leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Sees six minutes in loss
Mills finished with zero points (0-2 FG) across six minutes during Tuesday's 106-98 loss to the Spurs. Mills saw action for the second straight game, but he failed to record a single stat. After playing in the first 20 games of the season, Mills has fallen out of favor lately. Given he is not even in the rotation most nights, Mills can be safely left on the fantasy waiver wire, even in deeper formats.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Back with team
Mills (illness) participated in Tuesday's practice and will be available for Wednesday's matchup against Golden State, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports. Mills missed back-to-back games due to an illness, but he'll be back in the mix Wednesday. The veteran sharpshooter has appeared in just one contest since Nov. 25, but he drew the start during the matchup, as Brooklyn rested the majority of its regulars, and posted 24 points, six rebounds and six assists across 34 minutes. It's unclear what Mills' role will be now that he's healthy, but it appears Joe Harris, Seth Curry and Edmond Sumner are all ahead of him on the depth chart.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Out, as expected
Mills (illness)won't play in Sunday's game against the Pistons. Mills will miss a second game due to illness, but since he's largely been out of the rotation since late November, his absence shouldn't affect how head coach Jacque Vaughn distributes the minutes to his backcourt players.... Nets' Patty Mills: Out Friday, doubtful Sunday
Mills (illness) is doubtful to play in Sunday's game against the Raptors, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports. Mills didn't travel with the team for Friday's game against the Raptors and will likely miss Sunday's game as well. However, his absence shouldn't affect the Nets' rotation.... See More ... Nets' Patty Mills: Ruled out against Toronto
Mills (illness) won't play in Friday's game versus the Raptors, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Mills has been downgraded from doubtful to out Friday with a non-COVID illness. The veteran guard's next chance to suit up is Sunday's game against the Pistons.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Unlikely to play Friday
Patty Mills missed Thursday's practice with a non-COVID illness and is doubtful for Friday's game against the Raptors, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said he is unsure if Mills will travel with the team, meaning he could also miss Sunday's matchup with Detroit. However, his absence will likely not affect the team's rotation, as Mills has played in only one of the Nets' last nine games.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Goes for season-high 24 points
Mills contributed 24 points (10-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Saturday's 136-133 victory over the Pacers. Mills cobbled together his best overall performance this season, putting up solid contributions across multiple categories. With the Nets resting basically their entire starting five, Mills stepped into a significant role, proving he can still produce at an elite level when required. As with most of the Nets players who went off Saturday, Mills' productive outburst is likely to come to a screeching halt Monday against the Wizards, when most of Brooklyn's key rotation pieces will be back in action.... Nets' Patty Mills: Gets starting nod
Mills is in the starting five for Saturday's matchup with the Pacers, Alec Sturm of NetsDaily.com reports. Mills will enter the starting lineup Saturday with Kyrie Irving (thigh) and Joe Harris (ankle) out. Mills has come off the bench in all of his previous 20 appearances this season.... See More ... Nets' Patty Mills: Another poor performance Sunday
Mills recorded two points (1-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 13 minutes during Sunday's 116-103 loss to the Lakers. Mills continues to be more of an afterthought, scoring just two points in 13 minutes despite the heavy loss. Even with Seth Curry and Kyrie Irving on the sideline, Mills barely factored into the rotation, highlighting just what a struggle it has been for the sharpshooter. Based on his season numbers to date, he can safely be left for those in the deepest of formats.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Quiet night off bench
Mills recorded zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and three assists over 18 minutes during Wednesday's 110-99 loss to the Bucks. Mills failed to score for the first time all season and hoisted only two shots in his 18 minutes of action. He did finish with a season-high three assists and started the season with a pair of double-digit scoring efforts, so Mills could remain viable in daily fantasy and some deeper season-long formats.... Nets' Patty Mills: Lands four triples in loss
Mills ended Wednesday's 130-108 loss to New Orleans with 16 points (5-10 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one rebound over 23 minutes. Mills came off the bench to score 16 points on the strength of four makes from beyond the perimeter. While this was a nice outing for Mills, managers need to account for the fact the Nets were without both Seth Curry and Joe Harris. Until such time as one or both of those players return to action, Mills should be viewed as a possible streaming consideration in fantasy.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Re-ups with Brooklyn
Mills and the Nets agreed Thursday to a two-year, $14.5 million contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. At age 33, Mills had one of the most productive seasons of his career in 2021-22 -- his first year in Brooklyn. In 29.0 minutes per game, he averaged 11.4 points, 2.3 assists and 1.9 rebounds while shooting 40.0 percent from distance. After Kevin Durant requested a trade earlier Thursday, it's not entirely clear what Brooklyn's roster will look like next year. However, whatever the makeup, Mills should have a significant role as a microwave scorer off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Patty Mills: Declines player option
Mills declined his $6.2 million player option Wednesday and will become a free agent, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. At age 33, Mills had one of the most productive seasons of his career in 2021-22 -- his first year in Brooklyn. In 29.0 minutes per game, he averaged 11.4 points, 2.3 assists and 1.9 rebounds while shooting 40.0 percent from distance. There are likely a myriad of contending teams interested in his services as a microwave scorer off the bench.... See More ... See Less
