  • Heat's Patty Mills: Pops for nine points in loss

Mills closed Monday's 102-88 loss to Boston in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with nine points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes. Mills played a few extra minutes in the loss as the Heat fell to the Celtics in Game 4. Although they managed to win away from home in Game 2, there is a decent chance this series will come to an end Wednesday. Beyond this season, it's hard to see Mills having any sustainable fantasy value.

  • Heat's Patty Mills: Back to bench

Mills won't start Sunday's game against the Wizards. Mills made five straight starts for the shorthanded Heat, averaging 8.6 points on 38.5 percent shooting during that stretch. However, Duncan Robinson (back) has been cleared to return and will reclaim his spot in the starting lineup.

  • Heat's Patty Mills: Misses seven threes vs. Cavs

Mills tallied 10 points (3-11 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, four assists and two steals over 25 minutes in Wednesday's 107-104 win over Cleveland. Mills has been a three-point specialist during his 15-year tenure in the NBA, but the Australian guard has gone 3-for-31 from beyond the arc over his last six outings. He got the start Wednesday with Duncan Robinson (back) out, but Mills would return to the bench if the former returns. Given Mills' recent struggles from three, head coach Erik Spoelstra could also insert Jaime Jaquez back into the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pelicans if Robinson is unable to suit up.

  • Heat's Patty Mills: Starting Wednesday

Mills will enter the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers. Mills will move into the starting lineup in Duncan Robinson's (back) absence and should be good for some points and triples in the starting role. However, he typically doesn't bring much else to the stat sheet. He's just a low-end option in deep leagues.

  • Heat's Patty Mills: Struggles off bench Wednesday

Mills had two points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 14 minutes during Wednesday's 100-88 loss to Denver. Mills wasn't able to connect on his three shots from beyond the arc Wednesday. He's gone 1-for-7 from three over his last two games in limited time off the bench. Mills will look to get his shooting stroke back Friday in the first game of a home-and-home series against the Pistons.

  • Heat's Patty Mills: Scores 13 points in limited minutes

Mills supplied 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt) and two rebounds across 16 minutes during Friday's 107-100 loss to the Thunder. Mills doesn't carry a lot of fantasy upside due to his minimal role off the bench, but he made his presence felt Friday, missing just two shots from the field and registering double-digit points despite logging just 16 minutes. Mills is expected to see minor minutes off the bench going forward, and while this outing was a successful one, he's better suited to remain on the wire in most formats.

  • Heat's Patty Mills: Signing with Miami

Mills agreed to a contract with Miami on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. The Heat have added more experience to their backcourt in recent days with the additions of Delon Wright and Mills through the buyout market, giving the team some added insurance while Tyler Herro (knee) and Josh Richardson (shoulder) are sidelined. Even while Herro and Richardson are sidelined, Mills may not have a regular spot in the rotation and likely profiles as third-string depth, given his defensive limitations. Before being cut by the Hawks, Mills had appeared in 19 games this season and averaged 2.7 points, 1.1 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.7 three-pointers in 10.6 minutes.

  • Patty Mills: Heads to buyout market

The Hawks will waive Mills on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Mills has appeared in just 19 of the Hawks' 58 games this season, but he's been a productive perimeter threat despite his inconsistent playing time. He's knocked down 13 of his 34 three-point attempts on the season, good for a 37.3 percent rate. As he heads to the open market, the 35-year-old could have some appeal for a contending club in search of adding some shooting to its bench, but Mills is unlikely to surface as a regular rotation player no matter where he lands.

  • Hawks' Patty Mills: Good to go Wednesday

Mills (illness) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's game versus the Hornets, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Mills will return to action Wednesday after missing Atlanta's last three games with a non-COVID illness. The veteran guard is averaging 3.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 11.5 minutes across his previous 10 appearances.

  • Hawks' Patty Mills: Likely out again

Mills (illness) is listed as doubtful ahead of Monday's game against the Bulls. Mills will likely miss a third consecutive game due to a non-COVID illness. His potential absence doesn't figure to impact the rotation.

  • Hawks' Patty Mills: Out versus Houston

Mills (illness) will not play in Saturday's game versus Houston. Mills' absence won't have many fantasy implications, as he's averaging 9.0 minutes across three appearances in February.

  • Hawks' Patty Mills: Questionable against Houston

Mills (illness) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Rockets, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Mills is in danger of missing his second straight contest Saturday due to a non-COVID illness. However, the veteran guard's potential absence shouldn't significantly impact Atlanta's rotation.

  • Hawks' Patty Mills: Ruled out Friday

Mills (illness) won't play in Friday's game versus the 76ers, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Mills has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday due to a non-COVID illness. His next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Houston.

  • Hawks' Patty Mills: Questionable with illness

Mills is questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers due to an illness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Mills wasn't on Atlanta's initial injury report for Friday's matchup, but he's dealing with an illness a few hours before tipoff. However, his status shouldn't significantly impact the team's rotation.

  • Hawks' Patty Mills: Sticks in rotation Saturday

Mills closed Saturday's 116-95 loss to Cleveland with six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and one steal in 10 minutes. Mills dropped a pair of three-pointers in 10 minutes of playing time, remaining in the rotation despite the return of Trae Young (head), who missed the previous game due to an illness. If Mills was guaranteed consistent minutes, he could be viewed as a three-point streaming option. However, based on what we have seen this season, his role is far from assured moving forward.

  • Hawks' Patty Mills: Heading to Atlanta

Mills was traded to the Hawks in exchange for TyTy Washington, Usman Garuba, Rudy Gay and a second-round pick Saturday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Mills was recently traded to Oklahoma City before being re-directed to Atlanta. The veteran point guard will likely compete with rookie Kobe Bufkin for the backup point guard job behind Trae Young.

  • Thunder's Patty Mills: Dealt to Oklahoma City

Mills was traded to the Thunder on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Mills was initially dealt to Houston, but as expected, the deal has added a few more layers and more than a handful of teams. The exact details of the entire trade aren't yet known, but we do know the veteran sharpshooter is headed to the Thunder, who'll receive draft compensation to take on Mills' $6.8 million deal for 2023-24. It's not out of the question for Mills to be traded again this offseason, as he doesn't really mesh with Oklahoma City's current roster.

  • Rockets' Patty Mills: Traded to Rockets but won't stay

Mills was traded to the Rockets on Saturday, Shams Charania and Kelly Iko of The Athletic reports. However, he's not expected to stay with the franchise, Kelly Iko of The Athletic adds. Mills would have provided a much-needed boost to Houston's second unit, but playing time was expected to be tough to find in a crowded backcourt that also includes Fred VanVleet, Kevin Porter, D.J. Augustin, Amen Thompson and Jalen Green as potential ball handlers. As such, and as Iko reports, Mills will be included in another trade, presumably a bigger deal of the sign-and-trade variety that landed Dillon Brooks in Houston, and will be sent elsewhere. The veteran floor general averaged 6.2 points and 1.4 assists per game across 40 appearances with the Nets in 2022-23.

  • Nets' Patty Mills: Back to bench

Mills will revert to his usual reserve role in Saturday's Game 1 matchup with the 76ers. Mills got a spot-start in the Nets' regular-season finale. He will now provide depth in the backcourt if he is called upon.

  • Nets' Patty Mills: Nabs start Sunday

Mills will start Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Sixers. Mills should be in line for heftier minutes and usage than usual with most of the Nets' regulars out of commission. However, his role should decline to a minimum when the playoffs fire up.
