  • Magic's Byron Mullens: Paces bench in scoring Sunday

    Mullens mustered 11 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and five rebounds across 15 minutes during the Magic's 86-56 win over the Grizzlies in a Las Vegas Summer League contest Sunday.

    Mullens last saw regular-season NBA action during the 2013-14 campaign, when he averaged a solid 10.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 26.9 minutes in 53 games with the Clippers and 76ers. He made an impression with the Magic's G-League affiliate last season by posting 19.6 points and 11.0 rebounds over 11 games (10 starts). The seven-footer will look to parlay his Las Vegas opportunity into a training camp invite.

  • Magic's Byron Mullens: Joining Magic for summer league

    Mullens will play for the Magic's summer league team.

    Mullens has previous NBA experience, playing in the league from 2009 through 2013. However, he's since been unable to land a roster spot and will now try his luck in summer league to get back on the radar. During the 2017-18 campaign, Mullens split his time between Naft Abadan of the Iran Superleague and the G-League's Lakeland Magic. With the Magic's affiliate, Mulles averaged an impressive 19.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 blocks, while shooting 41.1 percent from deep.

  • Byron Mullens: Sixth double-double

    Mullens mustered 18 points (7-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-5 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block during Tuesday's 120-118 win over Long Island.

    This was the 7-0 center's sixth double-double in nine games played this season, as he was able to shoot a fine 58.3 percent from the floor Tuesday. Lakeland's top two scorers, Jamel Artis and Rodney Purvis, were called up this week so it figures that Mullens might be able to increase his season average of 20.4 points per game even more during the final week of the G League season.

  • Byron Mullens: 13 and 18 in loss

    Mullens finished with 13 points (6-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 18 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block during Sunday's 104-100 loss at Windy City.

    The 29-year-old center has been a great addition to Lakeland since signing with the team earlier in March, as he added his third straight double-double Sunday. Through five games played this season, Mullens is averaging a superb 19.6 points and 11.8 rebounds per game which indicates that he is great candidate for a double-double night in and night out.

    Mullens had 17 points (5-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block during Wednesday's 113-108 win over the Blue.

    The 7-0 center provided his first double-double with Lakeland since signing with them earlier in the month. During his first three games with Lakeland thus far, the former Ohio State player is averaging an impressive 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds across 32.0 minutes of action.

  • Byron Mullens: Signs contract with Turkish club

    Mullens signed a contract Tuesday with Turkish club Konyaspor that runs through 2017, Sportando reports.

    Mullens was last playing for the D-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce after washing out of the NBA, as he hadn't appeared in the league since 2013-14 with the 76ers. The 27-year-old will attempt to resurrect his career overseas.
