  • Rangers' Justin Foscue: Rejoins big-league club

The Rangers recalled Foscue from Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

Foscue is returning to the big-league club after the All-Star break as Michael Helman was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move. Foscue was sent down to Triple-A just prior to the break July 5 after not logging much playing time with the Rangers. With Jake Burger on the injured list, the Rangers could platoon Rowdy Tellez and Foscue at first base.

  • Rangers' Justin Foscue: Optioned to Triple-A

Foscue was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

He was up for a couple weeks while Wyatt Langford (oblique) was on the shelf, but Foscue has logged only six MLB at-bats this season, going 1-for-6 with a double. He'll serve as organizational depth at Triple-A, where the 26-year-old is hitting .259 with 10 homers in 53 games.

  • Rangers' Justin Foscue: Makes season debut

Foscue started at first base and went 0-for-3 in Monday's 6-0 loss to Baltimore.

Foscue, who was called up from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday, made his season debut for the Rangers. His MLB debut came in April of 2024 but was cut short immediately by an oblique injury. The 14th overall pick in the 2021 First-Year Player Draft, Foscue came up as a second baseman but has since added first base to his profile and could see time there with Jake Burger (oblique) on the 10-day injured list.

  • Rangers' Justin Foscue: Joining big-league club

The Rangers recalled Foscue from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

Foscue will fill Jake Burger's (oblique) spot on the 26-man roster after Burger was placed on the 10-day injured list. Foscue will be making his 2025 MLB debut if he gets into a game. He slashed .269/.360/.487 with 10 home runs in 229 plate appearances with Round Rock while playing first and second base.

  • Rangers' Justin Foscue: Sent to minor-league camp

The Rangers optioned Foscue to minor-league camp Wednesday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Foscue came into camp likely on the outside looking in for a roster spot and didn't do anything to change minds with a .631 OPS during Cactus League play. The 26-year-old went just 2-for-42 at the dish for the Rangers last season and will begin the 2025 campaign at Triple-A Round Rock.

  • Rangers' Justin Foscue: Sitting in third straight game

Foscue is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Foscue had an opportunity to pick up regular at-bats after Corey Seager (hip) was placed on the injured list last week, but the Rangers have seemingly pulled the plug on the rookie. He'll hit the bench for the third game in a row while Ezequiel Duran has emerged as the preferred option for the lineup spot vacated by Seager.

  • Rangers' Justin Foscue: Not starting against righty

Foscue is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Though he was deployed at designated hitter both of the past two days when the Angels sent left-handed starters to the hill, the right-handed-hitting Foscue will hit the bench for a fourth straight matchup with a right-hander (Caden Dana). Even with the recent move of Corey Seager (hip) to the injured list opening up a spot in Texas' everyday lineup versus righties, the Rangers seem inclined to rotate a number of players at DH rather than committing to Foscue in a full-time role.
