Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Myers will remain in the rotation, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Myers has held his own in two starts for the Brewers, allowing three runs with a 9:1 K:BB over 10 innings. With DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) still out and Wade Miley (elbow) done for the season, the Brewers don't have much of a choice in giving Myers at least one more turn while the organization's rotation depth has been tested early on. He's tentatively lined up to start in Chicago against the Cubs this weekend.... See More ... See Less

Brewers' Tobias Myers: Ineffective versus New York
Myers pitched five innings, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out five batters in Sunday's 15-5 loss to the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision. Myers surrendered a solo homer to Aaron Judge in the top of the first inning, and a three-run shot by Anthony Volpe in the fifth frame accounted for the final tallies on his line. Through two major-league starts this season, the 25-year-old has given up five runs, all of which have come on long balls, over 10 innings. If he draws another turn in Milwaukee's rotation, Myers is tentatively lined up to be back on the mound Saturday on the road versus the Cubs.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Getting another start
Myers is slated to start Sunday's game against the Yankees at American Family Field, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports. With Wade Miley (elbow), DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) all still on the injured list without clear timelines to return, Myers will end up sticking around for a second turn through the Milwaukee rotation. The 25-year-old had been a standout performer for Triple-A Nashville prior to getting called up this week and held his own in his MLB debut Tuesday, taking the loss despite limiting the Pirates to one run on four hits and one walk over five innings.... Brewers' Tobias Myers: Hard-luck loss in debut
Myers (0-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing one run on four hits and a walk across five innings. He struck out four. After allowing a leadoff homer to Andrew McCutchen in the first inning, Myers ultimately turned in a solid major-league debut, holding the Pirates scoreless over his subsequent four innings. However, the 25-year-old right-hander wound up with the loss, as Milwaukee couldn't crack Bailey Falter until the eighth inning. Myers got off to a good start this year with Triple-A Nashville, pitching to a 1.62 ERA across 16.2 innings. He should get another look in the Brewers' rotation while Wade Miley (elbow) is sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Making major-league debut Tuesday
Myers will start against the Pirates on Tuesday in what will be his major-league debut. Myers was up with the Brewers briefly last week but didn't make an appearance. He'll be on the bump to start Tuesday's contest after collecting a 1.62 ERA and 22:7 K:BB over 16.2 innings this season at Nashville. Myers is filling in for Wade Miley (elbow) and could earn additional starts if he pitches well.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Returns from Triple-A
The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Monday. Myers received a call-up to the majors last week and didn't make an appearance before being optioned to Nashville. This time around, Myers could fill the rotation spot vacated by Wade Miley (elbow), who was placed on the 15-day injured list but had been in line to start Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Myers holds a 1.62 ERA and 22:7 K:BB over 16.2 innings this season at Nashville. He would be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Moved to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Myers was with the big club for just one day and did not make an appearance. The Brewers will announce a corresponding move prior to their series opener Friday in St. Louis.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Summoned to majors
The Brewers selected Myers' contract from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday. Milwaukee was eager to build in an extra day of rest for all five members of its rotation, so rather than having ace Freddy Peralta take the hill Wednesday on normal rest, the Brewers will opt for a bullpen day in the series finale with the Padres. Bryse Wilson will open the contest and should be capable of covering 3-to-4 innings, but Myers could be called upon to pitch multiple innings behind him. Myers, who had been working as a starter at Nashville this season, accrued a 1.84 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB across 14.2 innings.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Joins Milwaukee on MiLB deal
Myers signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Tuesday. Myers spent time with the Guardians, Giants and White Sox organizations in 2022, and he posted a 7.82 ERA across 76 innings at the Triple-A level between the three clubs. The 24-year-old has yet to make his MLB debut, and he'll need to deliver improved results next season to have a chance of seeing the big leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Tobias Myers: Cut by ChiSox
The White Sox released Myers on Monday. Since the White Sox claimed him off waivers from the Giants on Aug. 2, Myers was lit up across his seven appearances at Triple-A Charlotte, logging a 15.92 ERA and 3.31 WHIP across 13 innings. Chicago had already seen enough from Myers to remove him from the 40-man roster earlier this month, and now he'll be cut loose by the organization entirely as the minor-league season nears its end.... White Sox's Tobias Myers: Off 40-man, stays in organization
The White Sox outrighted Myers to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday. Chicago scooped Myers up off waivers from San Francisco on Aug. 2, but one month later, he lost his spot on the 40-man roster. The 24-year-old right-hander wasn't claimed by another organization during his most recent exposure to the waiver wire, so he'll stick around with the White Sox's top affiliate. Since joining Charlotte, Myers has been lit up for 16 runs (15 earned) on 17 hits and 11 walks over eight innings across his five appearances.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Tobias Myers: Claimed by White Sox
The White Sox claimed Myers off waivers from the Giants on Tuesday. San Francisco designated Myers for assignment over the weekend, but he didn't take long to regain a 40-man roster spot with another organization. He'll begin his White Sox tenure with Triple-A Charlotte.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Tobias Myers: Loses 40-man spot
The Giants designated Myers for assignment Sunday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The minor-league right-hander will cede his spot on the Giants' 40-man roster to infielder Dixon Machado, whom the San Francisco acquired from the Cubs on Sunday. After being traded himself from Cleveland to San Francisco earlier this month, Myers made two appearances for the Giants' Triple-A affiliate in Sacramento. He'll likely stick around with Sacramento if he goes unclaimed upon being exposed to waivers.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Tobias Myers: Traded to San Francisco
Myers was traded from the Guardians to the Giants on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports. Myers began the season at Triple-A Columbus but sputtered to a 6.00 ERA and 1.77 WHIP in 60 innings over 14 starts. He'll attempt to right the ship with his new organization, and he'll report to the Giants' Triple-A affiliate for now. Anthony DeSclafani (ankle) was transferred to the 60-day injured list to make room for Myers on the 40-man roster.... See More ... See Less -
Guardians' Tobias Myers: Designated for assignment
Myers was designated for assignment by the Guardians on Saturday. Myers was added to the Guardians' 40-man roster after being traded from the Rays in November, and he began the season at Triple-A Columbus. He posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.77 WHIP in 60 innings over 14 Triple-A starts this year and will likely remain in Columbus if he goes unclaimed on waivers.... See More ... See Less
