  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Suffers fourth loss

Myers (6-4) took the loss Monday against the Cubs, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out six. Despite matching his career high in strikeouts with six, a mark he's reached four times in his last six starts, Myers was saddled with the loss in this 87-pitch outing. The Milwaukee rookie has impressed of late, pitching to a 1.95 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB across 50.2 innings since the beginning of June. DL Hall (knee/forearm) and Joe Ross (back) could return soon as they continue rehab assignments at Triple-A Nashville, but Myers appears locked into a rotation spot. The 25-year-old currently lines up to face the Marlins at home in his next start this weekend.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Twirls gem versus Pirates

Myers (6-3) allowed four hits and a walk while striking out six over eight shutout innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Pirates. This is the second time in 14 appearances (13 starts) this season Myers has managed to toss eight scoreless frames, having also done so versus the Tigers on June 7. The right-hander has a quality start in five of his last seven outings. He's pitched to an excellent 3.13 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 62:20 K:BB through 72 innings. Joe Ross (back) may be able to return to the Brewers' rotation in late July, but Myers looks to have done enough to keep a starting role throughout the campaign.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Takes third loss

Myers (5-3) took the loss against the Rockies on Thursday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings. Myers allowed multiple baserunners in each of the first two frames, leading to three runs coming home early for Colorado. He then cruised through the next two innings before surrendering a solo shot to Jake Cave in the sixth, marking the second game in a row in which the 25-year-old has given up a home run. Myers also allowed a season-high eight hits on the night en route to being handed his first loss since May 4 against the Cubs. On a positive note, he's now gone at least six innings in five of his last six starts.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Collects fourth straight win

Myers (5-2) allowed one run on five hits and struck out three without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win Sunday over the Padres. Myers is undefeated in June, going 4-0 with just two runs allowed over 25.1 innings across four starts. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 3.12 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB over 52 innings through 11 appearances (10 starts) this season. Sunday was the first time since May 31 that he didn't pitch past the fifth inning -- he exited with 78 pitches (56 strikes). He's tentatively lined up to make his next start at home versus the Cubs.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Strikes out six in win

Myers (4-2) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out six over 6.1 scoreless innings to earn the win over the Angels on Tuesday. Myers rattled off his third consecutive quality start while matching his season high with the six strikeouts. The right-hander is quickly growing into a trusted starter for the Brewers amid the team's brutal run of injuries to pitchers. Myers has a 3.26 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 42:16 K:BB through 47 innings over 10 appearances (nine starts) this year. He doesn't stand out by most metrics, though he's been able to use his four-seam fastball, slider and changeup effectively so far. Myers is projected to make his next start on the road at San Diego.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Receiving another start

Myers is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays in Milwaukee. With the Milwaukee rotation having been hit hard by injuries of late, Myers was called up from Triple-A Nashville last Wednesday and thrust back into a starting role, despite having turned in an underwhelming 5.40 ERA and 1.46 WHIP through his first seven outings (six starts) with the Brewers this season. Myers slotted into the rotation Friday and proceeded to deliver the best outing of his young big-league career, stymieing the Tigers over eight shutout innings while allowing just four baserunners and striking out five. Unsurprisingly, Myers will get another start on the heels of his big effort, and he could lengthen his leash in the rotation if he delivers another quality showing versus Toronto.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Stellar in spot start

Myers (2-2) earned the win Friday against Detroit, allowing just one hit and three walks over eight scoreless innings. He struck out five. After he was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Myers rejoined the Brewers' rotation Friday and delivered a fantastic effort -- he allowed a single to Matt Vierling to lead off the first inning (which was erased on a pickoff) before proceeding to hold the Tigers hitless over his final seven frames. Myers lowered his ERA to 4.15 with a 1.24 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB across 34.2 innings in a swing role with Milwaukee this year. He figures to stick in the rotation for now due to Joe Ross (back), Robert Gasser (elbow), Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) all being on the IL.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Drawing start Friday

Myers will start Friday's game in Detroit, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Myers was available in relief for Wednesday's game against the Phillies after being recalled from Triple-A Nashville earlier that day, but since he wasn't needed, he'll be thrown back into the rotation this weekend against the Tigers. The 25-year-old has made six starts and one relief appearance for the Brewers this season, posting a 5.40 ERA and 27:10 K:BB over 26.2 innings. Myers could be needed for additional starts after Friday as Milwaukee battles numerous injuries to its rotation.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Returns to majors

The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday. Myers should be available out of the bullpen beginning with Wednesday's game against the Phillies, but he might be needed to make some starts while the Brewers are without multiple rotation members. The rookie right-hander holds a 5.40 ERA and 27:10 K:BB over 26.2 innings for Milwaukee, covering six starts and one relief appearance.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Roughed up in no-decision

Myers did not factor into the decision in Friday's 12-5 win over the White Sox, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out four. Myers entered this start on a hot streak, firing a 1.93 ERA and 12:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings in his last three outings, but struggled against a weak White Sox lineup. He allowed just one homer -- a 417-foot solo shot to Paul DeJong -- but failed to reach multiple strikeouts in a start for the first time this season. The Brewers' rotation plans are murky, currently as DL Hall (knee) has been making rehab starts and could return soon. If Myers remains in the rotation for another start, it would come against the Phillies on the road next week.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Solid versus Boston

Myers pitched 4.1 innings Sunday against Boston, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks. He struck out four and did not factor into the decision. The 25-year-old got his first start since being called up Tuesday, taking the place of Joe Ross (back) in the Brewers rotation. Myers pitched well, not allowing a home run for the first time in five starts this season and improving his shaky 10:8 K:BB ratio. With five Brewers starters on the IL, Myers could stick in the rotation for the time being, especially if he continues to pitch like he did Sunday.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Recalled from Triple-A

The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. Myers is taking the roster spot vacated by Joe Ross (back) and is also a candidate to take Ross' place in the rotation, although it would appear he'll be available in relief for now. The right-hander holds a 5.29 ERA and 17:9 K:BB over 17 innings covering four starts with Milwaukee this season.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Sent down to minors

The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Friday. The transaction comes one day after Myers was charged with one run on three hits and four walks over four innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals. Myers should be under consideration for future starts with the Brewers but will rejoin Nashville's rotation for the time being.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Ugly outing in Chicago

Myers (0-2) took the loss to the Cubs on Saturday, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks over three innings. He struck out two batters. Nico Hoerner and Christopher Morel touched Myers up for homers, sending the right-hander to his second loss in three starts. Walks had not been an issue for Myers in his first two turns, as he walked only one batter in his first 10 innings, but he couldn't find the strike zone and/or didn't trust his stuff enough on this particular day to fill up the zone. While it was a step backward, Myers projects to remain in the rotation for the time being with DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) still without definitive timetables.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Staying in rotation

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Myers will remain in the rotation, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Myers has held his own in two starts for the Brewers, allowing three runs with a 9:1 K:BB over 10 innings. With DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) still out and Wade Miley (elbow) done for the season, the Brewers don't have much of a choice in giving Myers at least one more turn while the organization's rotation depth has been tested early on. He's tentatively lined up to start in Chicago against the Cubs this weekend.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Ineffective versus New York

Myers pitched five innings, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out five batters in Sunday's 15-5 loss to the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision. Myers surrendered a solo homer to Aaron Judge in the top of the first inning, and a three-run shot by Anthony Volpe in the fifth frame accounted for the final tallies on his line. Through two major-league starts this season, the 25-year-old has given up five runs, all of which have come on long balls, over 10 innings. If he draws another turn in Milwaukee's rotation, Myers is tentatively lined up to be back on the mound Saturday on the road versus the Cubs.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Getting another start

Myers is slated to start Sunday's game against the Yankees at American Family Field, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports. With Wade Miley (elbow), DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) all still on the injured list without clear timelines to return, Myers will end up sticking around for a second turn through the Milwaukee rotation. The 25-year-old had been a standout performer for Triple-A Nashville prior to getting called up this week and held his own in his MLB debut Tuesday, taking the loss despite limiting the Pirates to one run on four hits and one walk over five innings.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Hard-luck loss in debut

Myers (0-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing one run on four hits and a walk across five innings. He struck out four. After allowing a leadoff homer to Andrew McCutchen in the first inning, Myers ultimately turned in a solid major-league debut, holding the Pirates scoreless over his subsequent four innings. However, the 25-year-old right-hander wound up with the loss, as Milwaukee couldn't crack Bailey Falter until the eighth inning. Myers got off to a good start this year with Triple-A Nashville, pitching to a 1.62 ERA across 16.2 innings. He should get another look in the Brewers' rotation while Wade Miley (elbow) is sidelined.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Making major-league debut Tuesday

Myers will start against the Pirates on Tuesday in what will be his major-league debut. Myers was up with the Brewers briefly last week but didn't make an appearance. He'll be on the bump to start Tuesday's contest after collecting a 1.62 ERA and 22:7 K:BB over 16.2 innings this season at Nashville. Myers is filling in for Wade Miley (elbow) and could earn additional starts if he pitches well.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Returns from Triple-A

The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Monday. Myers received a call-up to the majors last week and didn't make an appearance before being optioned to Nashville. This time around, Myers could fill the rotation spot vacated by Wade Miley (elbow), who was placed on the 15-day injured list but had been in line to start Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Myers holds a 1.62 ERA and 22:7 K:BB over 16.2 innings this season at Nashville. He would be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.
