The Twins outrighted Boushley to Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. • Twins' Caleb Boushley: Gets DFA'd

The Twins designated Boushley for assignment Sunday. Boushley will cede his spot on the 40-man roster to infielder Diego Castillo, whose contract was selected from Triple-A St. Paul ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. Aside from making a two-inning relief appearance for the Twins on May 20, Boushley has spent the entire 2024 campaign at St. Paul, with whom he's produced a 4.68 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 73:14 K:BB in 84.2 innings. If he goes unclaimed via waivers, Boushley should remain a member of the St. Paul rotation moving forward.

  • Twins' Caleb Boushley: Candidate to be called up

Boushley is a candidate to be called up to replace injured Chris Paddack in the Minnesota rotation, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Boushley is already on the 40-man roster, a designation top prospect David Festa, who's also in Triple-A St. Paul's rotation, doesn't possess. Boushley gave up two runs over two innings in his lone appearance in the majors this season, and he has a 3.52 ERA and 7.8 K/9 at St. Paul. The Twins will likely call up a pitcher to start Thursday at Arizona.

He'll continue to work at the Brewers' facility in Arizona and could rejoin the team should Milwaukee's bullpen take a hit during the postseason.
