Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Set to start Wednesday
Jobe is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Astros, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Jobe last took the mound April 18 versus Kansas City, so it'll end up being 12 days between starts for the right-hander. There's been no indication he's dealing with an injury, so the Tigers may simply be incorporating some in-season workload management with the 22-year-old rookie. Jobe has pitched well through four starts this year with a 2.70 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 14:10 K:BB across 20 innings.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Collects second win
Jobe (2-0) earned the win against the Royals on Friday, allowing one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out five batters across five innings.
Back-to-back doubles from Bobby Witt and Vinnie Pasquantino in the first inning put Jobe in an early 1-0 hole, but he only allowed another three hits over the next four frames while his offense helped him out by putting up five runs on Royals ace Cole Ragans. After a rough start to the season, the 22-year-old Jobe has now allowed one run over 11 innings while collecting back-to-back wins across his last two starts. He'll have plenty of momentum heading into his next outing, which is tentatively scheduled for next Friday against Baltimore.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Blanks Twins for first MLB win
Jobe (1-0) picked up the win Saturday, allowing two hits and a walk over six scoreless innings in a 4-0 victory over the Twins. He struck out two.
The rookie right-hander put the first two batters he faced on base before locking in and retiring the next 13 Minnesota hitters. Jobe tossed 54 of 87 pitches for strikes en route to his first win in the majors, and his first quality start. The 22-year-old will take a 3.00 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 9:8 K:BB through 15 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Royals.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Issues three walks in no-decision
Jobe did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 4-3 win against the White Sox, pitching five innings while allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks. He struck out four.
The rookie right-hander looked sharper in this 86-pitch outing but generated just six whiffs against a subpar Chicago lineup. Jobe managed to limit hard contact, as all four hits yielded were singles, but the walks are looking problematic to start the season for the 22-year-old. Over his first nine innings, Jobe has a 5.00 ERA and 1.56 WHIP with a 7:7 K:BB. He is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Twins in Minnesota next weekend.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Shaky in season debut
Jobe did not factor into the decision in Monday's 9-6 victory over Seattle, pitching four innings while allowing three runs on three hits and four walks. He struck out three.
The Tigers rookie failed to reach the fifth inning and be eligible for the win despite his offense plating six runs in the first inning. Jobe struggled with his command in this outing, issuing four free passes after yielding six walks across 16.1 spring innings, and allowed two homers before being lifted after 79 pitches. Jobe will look to right the ship in his next outing, currently scheduled to be against the White Sox at home this weekend.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Makes Opening Day rotation
Jobe is expected to open the season as the Tigers' No. 5 starter, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.
Kenta Maeda was informed Friday that he will begin the season in the bullpen and Keider Montero was optioned Saturday, which seemingly locks Jobe into the rotation. Jobe, Detroit's top pitching prospect, has made four starts in the Grapefruit League this spring, pitching to a 3.65 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB over 12.1 innings. He lines up for a road start in Seattle during the first full week of the regular season.
