Orioles' Cedric Mullins: Lands on IL with strained groin
Baltimore placed Mullins on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right groin strain.
Mullins suffered the injury during Monday's loss to the Guardians while running out a grounder. He's dealing with a Grade 2 strain, but the team is hoping Mullins is out weeks rather than months, general manager Mike Elias told Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com on Tuesday. Baltimore signed Aaron Hicks to a one-year deal in a corresponding move, and he could see regular starts in center field while Mullins is out.

Orioles' Cedric Mullins: Dealing with abductor strain
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said after Monday's 5-0 loss to the Guardians that Mullins has been diagnosed with a right groin abductor strain, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

He'll undergo further examination before the Orioles determined how much time he might miss, but Mullins' groin strain certainly sounds like something that could force him to the 10-day injured list. Mullins went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks before exiting Monday's game in the top of the ninth.
