  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Goes yard again

Harper went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's 7-2 win over the Marlins. Harper put the Phillies on the board in the first inning when he took Sandy Alcantara deep to right field for a 418-foot, two-run home run. Harper is up to five home runs on the season, three of which have come over his last four games. He's slashing .264/.404/.500 with a 17:17 BB:K, four stolen bases, 14 runs scored and 11 RBI across 89 plate appearances.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Blasts fourth long ball

Harper went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in Wednesday's loss to the Giants. Harper took a laboring Robbie Ray yard in the fourth inning to tie the game up at 4-4, powering a slider out of the strike zone and into the seats in right field. Through 81 plate appearances (18 games), Harper is slashing a healthy .269/.395/.478 with four big flies, two doubles, nine RBI and 11 runs scored. After stealing just seven bases in 145 regular-season games a year ago, the All-Star first baseman is already up to four steals early in 2025.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Cracks two-run shot

Harper went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Giants. Harper extended the Phillies' lead to three runs when he took Hayden Birdsong deep to right field for a 354-foot, two-run homer in the seventh inning. Harper has reached base safely in 11 straight games, and over that span he has gone 10-for-39 with 10 walks, five runs scored, one home run and four RBI.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Belts second homer

Harper went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks Wednesday in a 4-3 win against Atlanta. Harper came up big for the Phillies in the seventh inning, crushing a two-run homer to center field to give the team a one-run lead. The star first baseman reached base three total times in the contest, and he's been able to get on base safely in all but one of his 11 games so far this season. Harper's long ball Wednesday was just his second this season, but he's been relatively productive with a .279/.380/.465 slash line, five RBI and seven runs.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Productive day at plate in win

Harper went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 8-7 win over the Dodgers. In a disastrous third inning for Tyler Glasnow, who allowed four walks and threw three wild pitches in the frame, Harper singled to drive in Rafael Marchan to get the Phillies onto the scoreboard. Harper also scored a game-tying run following a double in the seventh inning. It's been a relatively quiet start to the season for the perennial All-Star, who has just three extra-base hits, three RBI and zero stolen bases over 36 at-bats, but Harper is still hitting a healthy .278 with four walks across his first nine outings.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Belts Opening Day homer

Harper went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo homer and an additional run scored in Thursday's 7-3 extra-inning win over Washington. After the Nationals lifted a dominant MacKenzie Gore after six innings, Harper greeted right-hander Lucas Sims with a solo shot to put the Phillies on the board in the seventh. It was Harper's first long ball of 2025, including spring training, as the superstar slugger went without a homer in the Grapefruit League but did hit a strong 12-for-41 (.293) with four RBI this spring.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Willing to move back to OF if asked

Harper said recently that he would be willing to move back to right field if the Phillies were able to acquire an impact first baseman at the trade deadline, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports. Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic reported this week that Harper told the Phillies over the offseason he would be open to shifting to the outfield if the club could acquire a marquee first baseman. That never came close to happening, but the offer remains on the table should an opportunity present itself. Harper has turned himself into an excellent defensive first baseman and will, in all likelihood, remain at that position over the long haul, but having the flexibility and willingness to move back to right field could come in handy, both for the Phillies and for anyone with fantasy shares in the 32-year-old star.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Returning to action Friday

Harper (triceps) will return to the Phillies' lineup for Friday's Grapefruit League contest against the Red Sox, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Harper exited Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays after being hit on the right triceps by a pitch, but the exit was precautionary. He had a scheduled day off Thursday and will be back in there Friday.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Bruises tricep, should be fine

Harper sustained a bruised right tricep after getting hit by a pitch in Wednesday's 9-6 win over the Blue Jays, but Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that he's "not over concerned" about the injury, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. A Richard Lovelady offering caught Harper on the arm during a sixth-inning plate appearance, and the first baseman was immediately pulled from the game for a pinch runner. While Harper will be re-evaluated Thursday, the expectation is that he'll be fine moving forward. Harper was not going to play Thursday, regardless, and he could be back in the lineup as soon as Friday versus the Red Sox.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Exits after hit-by-pitch

Harper was removed from Wednesday's Grapefruit League contest versus the Blue Jays after being hit on the right biceps by a pitch, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Harper was making his third plate appearance of the day when he was struck by a Richard Lovelady offering in the top of the sixth inning, so his day was likely going to be over, anyway. The Phillies should provide an update on Harper's condition shortly.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Set for Grapefruit League debut

Harper (illness) will bat third and start at first base in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Blue Jays. Harper missed some time at the beginning of last week while recovering from an illness, but he appears to be fully healthy now and will make his spring debut Wednesday. The 32-year-old is heading into his second season as the Phillies' full-time first baseman after he slashed .285/.373/.525 with 30 home runs, 87 RBI, 85 runs and seven steals across 145 games in 2024.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Misses workout due to illness

Harper will miss the Phillies' first full-squad workout Monday due to illness, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Trea Turner is also away from the club because his wife recently gave birth. Turner is expected to join workouts Wednesday, and Harper will likely be ready by then, if not before.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Sitting for regular-season finale

Harper is absent from Sunday's lineup against Washington. Harper will begin Sunday's contest in the dugout as Alec Bohm starts at first base and bats fifth. • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Belts 29th homer

Harper went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Brewers. He took Frankie Montas deep in the sixth inning to break open a 1-1 tie, putting Harper one long ball short of his fifth career 30-homer campaign. The veteran slugger has been heating up with the playoffs looming, and over the last 11 games Harper is slashing .386/.426/.727 with six doubles, three homers, seven runs and eight RBI.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Homers twice in win

Harper went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Mets. According to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com, Harper had gone 128 plate appearances without a home run before smacking a solo shot in the fourth inning. Despite the homerless drought, the slugger has now tallied six multi-hit efforts and nine extra-base hits through 12 September contests. On the season, he's batting .290 with 28 long balls, 82 RBI, 79 runs scored and five steals across 577 plate appearances.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: In Thursday's lineup

Harper (elbow) will start at first base and bat third Thursday against the Marlins. Harper had to make an early exit from Wednesday's contest after getting hit in the elbow by a pitch, but his bruise won't be enough to prevent him from playing in Thursday's series opener. Over his last 10 games, the 31-year-old slugger has gone 13-for-34 with two RBI and four runs scored.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Departs after HBP

Harper was removed from Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays due to a left elbow contusion, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The 31-year-old stayed in the game after being hit by a pitch in the left elbow during the first inning, though he was replaced by a pinch hitter for his second plate appearance. Harper is being further evaluated, which could include medical imaging. He should be considered day-to-day until more information is available.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Playing through wrist, elbow issues

Harper revealed last week that he's been playing through a sore wrist and sore right elbow, MLB.com reports. Harper was seen wincing after taking a swing in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays, but he stayed in that game and is back in the lineup Wednesday. Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Harper's elbow "grabs a little bit" on swings and misses, but he said his first baseman is "fine" and there are no current plans to give him rest. Harper noted last week that he's battled wrist soreness since May, while the elbow issue is more recent. He's slashing .307/.373/.465 since Aug. 1 but hasn't homered since Aug. 9.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: On base four times Monday

Harper went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double, a run scored and an RBI in Monday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Astros. Harper also has a two-bagger in four straight contests, and through 22 games in August he's slashing .287/.354/.460 with nine doubles, two homers, nine RBI and 10 runs.

  • Phillies' Bryce Harper: Not starting Sunday

Harper is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals. Harper will begin Sunday's game in the dugout. He's gone 0-for-7 with one walk and one strikeout over the last two games against Washington. Alec Bohm will man first base and bat third against Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin.
