Phillies' Josh Harrison: Big day against former club
Harrison went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI during a 7-4 win over the White Sox in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.
Starting at third base and batting ninth, Harrison tormented the club he played for in 2022, driving home two runs with a third-inning single before slugging a two-run homer off Jimmy Lambert in the seventh. The homer was the first extra-base hit of the season for the veteran utility player, and after going 0-for-1 as a pinch hitter in the nightcap, Harrison is batting .286 (8-for-28) with three runs and five RBI in 12 games. With Alec Bohm needed at first base, there is playing time available at the hot corner, and Harrison is capable of seizing it with a hot streak.

Phillies' Josh Harrison: Heading to Philadelphia
Harrison agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract with the Phillies on Sunday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
The veteran infielder spent the 2022 campaign with the White Sox, and the team declined his $5.5 million club option after he posted a .256/.317/.370 slash line with seven home runs and 27 RBI in 119 games. Harrison should have a chance to earn the starting job at second base, though he's more likely to fill the weak side of a platoon with Bryson Stott while also working as a utility man.

Josh Harrison: Leaving Chicago
The White Sox declined Harrison's $5.5 million club option for 2023 on Monday.

The 35-year-old may not be in line for much more than a low-cost one-year MLB deal in free agency this winter after he slashed an underwhelming .256/.317/.370 over 425 plate appearances this past season.

Harrison was removed from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics due to flu-like symptoms, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
