Casey Kelly is expected to make his big-league debut with the Padres on Monday, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune's Bill Center.

Kelly, who was traded along with Anthony Rizzo from the Red Sox to the Padres for Adrian Gonzalez, has made three starts in Double-A while recovering from an elbow injury, going 0-1 with a 3.78 ERA in 16.2 innings.

Kelly would be inheriting the rotation spot of Jason Marquis, who was placed on the disabled list Aug. 23 with a fractured wrist. A 2012 return for Marquis hasn't been ruled out.
