VIDEO: Jason Sudeikis returns as hilarious soccer coach Ted Lasso

Jason Sudeikis returned as coach Ted Lasso, who has been getting more into European football since last year's short-lived gig with Tottenham.

After his wild half day as a coach of Tottenham Hotspur a year ago, everybody's favorite soccer coach Ted Lasso is back and better than ever.

You remember Lasso, the football coach from Texas who landed a job in the EPL with the London club despite knowing absolutely nothing about soccer. Well he managed to turn that gig into a successful year since, getting inundated with English and soccer life to lead to the upcoming Barclays Premier League season.

Of course, Lasso is just a character played by former SNL actor Jason Sudeikis but it must be said this is one of the best characters an SNL actor has produced in a long time. It's part of NBC's ramp-up to the EPL season.

Somebody in the video who was not a character is Everton (and American) goalkeeper Tim Howard, who will also be in the broadcast booth for a few games this season.
