Davis (knee) will start the season on the Patriots' reserve/PUP list.
Davis is still looking to fully recover from season-ending knee surgery in October of last season. The 33-year-old is considered a special teams asset, so the Patriots will be patient with him going forward. The soonest he could return now is in Week 5.
