McGee signed a contract with the Lions on Tuesday, MLive.com reports.

The Lions seem comfortable entering the 2016 campaign with Darius Slay, Nevin Lawson, Quan Diggs and Darrin Walls serving as their top four cornerbacks, but the signing of McGee, at the expense of the recently waived Keith Williams, may signal the team is unsure of the depth behind them. Johnson Bademosi, Crezdon Butler and Alex Carter figure to join McGee as the primary competition for what may ultimately be one or two roster spots.
