Ebner (undisclosed) signed a contract with the Giants on Tuesday, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
Ebner appeared in 16 games as a special-teams specialist for the Giants last year and was always expected to rejoin the team for 2021, but he wasn't re-signed to this point while recovering from offseason surgery and previously trying out for the United States Rugby Team in hopes of participating in the Tokyo Olympics. The 32-year-old played only 37 defensive snaps in 2020 and should fill a similar role on special teams for New York this season.
