Dezmen Southward: Joins practice squad

Southward (back) joined the Panthers' practice squad after clearing waivers Sunday.

Southward, who nursed a back injury throughout training camp, was unable to make it through to the 53-man roster. The 26-year-old will continue looking to make an impression in practice.
