Brooks recorded 24 points (7-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-8 FT), one rebound and two assists in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 131-116 victory over the Warriors in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Despite struggling with his outside shot, Brooks' 24 points represented his highest scoring output of the series so far. This was largely due to Brooks' eight free-throw attempts being as many as he had attempted in the previous three games total. Brooks is averaging 15.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 30.4 minutes across the first five games of the Rockets' first-round playoff matchup with the Warriors.... See More ... See Less

Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Fouls out in Game 3
Brooks notched 13 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 104-93 loss to the Warriors in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Brooks was limited to just 28 minutes in Game 3 after picking up four fouls in the first half. He was effective while on the floor and was the only Rockets starter not to finish with a negative point differential before fouling out at the 3:47 mark in the fourth quarter. Brooks has failed to play more than 30 minutes in each of his last two games, and the Rockets will need the veteran forward to stay out of foul trouble in Game 4 on Monday to help tie the series at two games apiece.... Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Efficient shooting in win
Brooks provided 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 109-94 victory over the Warriors in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Brooks was one of five players who scored in double figures for Houston on Wednesday. The defensive-minded forward was able to bounce back from a forgettable performance in Game 1, shooting 50 percent from the field, which helped propel his team to victory. The series is now shifting to San Francisco for the next two games, with many questions surrounding the status of Warriors star Jimmy Butler (pelvis) after a nasty fall that resulted in him missing all but eight minutes of Game 2.... Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Available for season finale
Brooks (rest) is not on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Nuggets. The Rockets rested their regular rotation players in the last two contests, but that won't be the case Sunday because this is the final chance the Rockets will have to log competitive minutes until the playoffs start April 19. As such, Brooks should handle his regular workload in the starting lineup. The veteran forward enters the final game of the regular season with averages of 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game across 74 starts.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Sitting out Friday
Brooks won't play in Friday's game versus the Lakers due to rest purposes. Brooks was previously left off the injury report for Friday's contest but will now miss his second straight game due to rest purposes. Due to many of Houston's other regulars also being ruled out against the Lakers, Jeff Green and Cam Whitmore should receive increased playing time. Brooks' next chance to suit up is Sunday's regular-season finale against Denver.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Will play against LAL
Brooks (rest) has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Lakers. Brooks missed the Rockets' last game against the Clippers for rest purposes but will be on the floor Friday to face LeBron James (groin) and company. The veteran forward is averaging 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 43 percent from the floor and a career-high 39.7 percent from deep.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Won't play against LAC
Brooks (rest) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports. The Rockets have begun resting their stars, including Brooks, for the NBA playoffs. Houston will likely turn to Tari Eason, Jeff Green and Jae'Sean Tate to shoulder the load in the frontcourt.... Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Game-high 24 points in win
Brooks dropped 24 points (10-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes during Sunday's 106-96 win over the Warriors. The veteran wing could hardly miss from the field Sunday, pacing all scorers to lead the Rockets to a massive win. The outing marked his second straight game with 20 or more points, helping him to an average of 15.0 points per game since the All-Star break. In that same stretch, Brooks has been shooting 45.2 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from deep.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Ejected Sunday
Brooks was ejected from Sunday's game against the Suns, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports. Brooks got tangled up with Kevin Durant, leading to a brief scuffle and resulting in Brooks' immediate rejection. Brooks concludes the contest with eight points (3-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt), one rebound, one assist, one steal and a block in 11 minutes. Jabari Smith figures to see more time with Brooks out of the lineup.... Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Stays hot with 21 points
Brooks contributed 21 points (8-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over 37 minutes during Sunday's 116-111 loss to the Nuggets. Houston's nine-game winning streak came to an end despite another solid showing for Brooks. The wing has been on a strong four-game run for Houston, posting averages of 18.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 3.5 three-pointers in 36.8 minutes. During that span, Brooks has been a fifth-round value in nine-category formats.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Stuffs stat sheet, fouls out
Brooks had 25 points (8-19 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes before fouling out of Monday's 144-137 overtime victory over the 76ers. Brooks reached the 25-point plateau for the sixth time this season, and even though he's not known for being a reliable scoring weapon, there's no doubt he's going through a prolific stretch of late. The veteran forward is averaging 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.8 steals per game since the beginning of March.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Scores team-high 27 points
Brooks supplied 27 points (9-14 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 25 minutes during Saturday's 146-117 win over the Pelicans. Brooks took advantage of a favorable matchup, tabling at least 20 points for the first time since late January. With that said, Brooks has now scored in double-digits in six straight games, continuing to put together a serviceable season. Across 60 games, he is averaging 13.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 three-pointers in 32.1 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Available vs. Indiana
Brooks (knee) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's game against the Pacers. After missing Monday's loss to the Thunder, Brooks will be available to play Tuesday on the road in Indiana. The defensive-minded forward is averaging 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game, shooting 41.5 percent from the floor and a career-high 39.3 percent from beyond the arc this season for Houston.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Ruled out Monday
Brooks is out for Monday's game against the Thunder due to right knee contusion. The veteran swingman's absence will open up a spot in Houston's starting lineup Monday, with his next chance to suit up coming Tuesday against Indiana. Aaron Holiday and Cam Whitmore are options for expanded roles against Oklahoma City.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Iffy for Monday
Brooks is questionable for Monday's game against the Thunder due to a right knee contusion. Brooks is one of five Rockets listed as questionable for Monday's game, which is the first half of a back-to-back set, so it's difficult to project what Houston's rotation may look like. Brooks hasn't missed a game since Dec. 27.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Drains five threes in win
Brooks contributed 19 points (7-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 118-106 victory over the Spurs. The five made threes were Brooks' best performance from beyond the arc since he erupted for a 10-for-15 showing in Boston on Jan. 27. The 29-year-old forward has fired home multiple three-pointers in nine of the last 10 games -- a stretch in which he's averaging 13.6 points, 4.5 boards, 2.8 threes and 2.3 boards while shooting 44.4 percent from long range.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Plays well in win
Brooks notched 16 points (6-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 100-97 win over the Bucks. Brooks snapped a streak of three straight games in which he was held to single-digit points. He's been well outside the top-150 in nine-category formats through 11 February outings, averaging 13.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.6 steals and 2.4 three-pointers on 39.8 percent shooting from the field.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Available to face Milwaukee
Brooks (illness) is available for Tuesday's game against the Bucks, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports. Brooks was in jeopardy of missing his first contest since Dec. 27 due to an illness, but the veteran will suit up and should handle his regular minutes in a starting role. Brooks is averaging 13.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while making 38.8 percent of his threes this season.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Playing time cut short in loss
Brooks posted seven points (2-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one assist over 21 minutes during Thursday's 105-98 loss to Golden State. Brooks' 21 minutes logged were his fewest in a game since Jan. 7, as Jae'Sean Tate received 27 minutes of action off the bench. However, Brooks still continued to hot shooting from behind the arc, converting 41.0 percent of his 6.1 three-point attempts per contest over his last 10 outings.... See More ... See Less -
Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Team-high 19 points Sunday
Brooks supplied 19 points (5-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 37 minutes during Sunday's 94-87 win over the Raptors. Brooks led the Rockets with 19 points during this low-scoring affair. The veteran swingman has streaky tendencies, as evidenced by Sunday's inefficient shooting display, but he's notched double-digit points in nine of his last 10 games. During this span, Brooks has averaged 16.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 3.0 threes in 34.6 minutes while shooting 44.8 percent from beyond the arc.... See More ... See Less
