Kaman, an unrestricted free agent, acknowledges that he could retire from the NBA, but hasn't ruled out playing in 2016-17 just yet, Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune reports. "I'm not in any rush [to retire]," Kaman said. "I'm waiting to see what happens with free agency. I'd like to play some more. It depends on the situation, though. I'm not going to close any doors until the time comes."

The 34-year-old Kaman barely saw the floor last season as a deep reserve for the Trail Blazers, appearing in just 16 games and averaging only 7.0 minutes per contest. The organization valued Kaman for his willingness to teach and help develop the team's younger big men, so if he's unable to land a contract in free agency, he could stick with the Trail Blazers as a workout coach.
