The San Diego State Aztecs fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Saturday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will square off against the Utah Utes at 10 p.m. ET at Rice-Eccles Stadium. These two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

A well-balanced attack led San Diego State over the Idaho State Bengals every single quarter on their way to victory last week. The Aztecs took their matchup against Idaho State by a conclusive 38-7 score. San Diego State QB Braxton Burmeister did work as he passed for one TD and 108 yards on 26 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 75 yards.

Meanwhile, Utah turned the game against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds into a track meet and took the gold after outgaining them 599 yards to 85. Utah took their contest at home last week with ease, bagging a 73-7 win over Southern Utah. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-7. QB Cameron Rising and TE Dalton Kincaid were among the main playmakers for the Utes as the former passed for three TDs and 254 yards on 23 attempts and the latter caught seven passes for two TDs and 107 yards. Kincaid had some trouble finding his footing against the Florida Gators two weeks ago, so this was a step in the right direction.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-1. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
