UCF vs. Baylor: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the UCF vs. Baylor football game
Baylor has played every game this season on their home field, but they'll have to hit the road on Saturday. The Baylor Bears and the UCF Knights will face off in a Big 12 battle at 3:30 p.m. ET at FBC Mortgage Stadium. Baylor is expected to lose this one by 12 points, so we'll see if that gives them a bit of motivation.
Last Saturday, there's no need to mince words: Baylor lost to Texas, and Baylor lost bad. The score wound up at 38-6. Baylor was in a tough position after the first half, with the score sitting at 28-6.
Meanwhile, UCF couldn't handle Kansas State on Saturday and fell 44-31. The loss put an end to UCF's undefeated season.
Despite the defeat, UCF had strong showings from Kobe Hudson, who picked up 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Timmy McClain, who threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns. That's the first time this season that Hudson hauled in a receiving touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ Harvey, who rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Not only did both the pair lose their last games, neither team covered either. Looking ahead, UCF is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 11.5 points. Anyone thinking of taking Baylor against the spread should keep this in mind: the team hasn't covered the last four times they've played UCF.
Baylor's status as the underdog is well-deserved: they've lost three of their last four contests. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-0 Texas (Baylor's opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75% over those games). UCF's loss on Saturday dropped their record down to 3-1.
