Notre Dame already has more points against Stanford than they managed in total against Wake Forest last Saturday. After three quarters Notre Dame's offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating Stanford 49-16. This contest looks nothing like the tight 16-14 margin from Notre Dame's win over Stanford in their previous head-to-head back in October of 2022.
Notre Dame already has seven blowout wins this season, but why stop there? Barring a freak comeback, they will be celebrating another huge victory in the locker room very soon.

Stanford is staring down a pretty large 26-point disadvantage in the spread for Saturday's match. They will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. ET at Stanford Stadium. Stanford is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Stanford couldn't handle California and fell 27-15. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stanford in their matchups with California: they've now lost three in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Ashton Daniels, who threw for 188 yards and a touchdown. Joshua Karty did his part by putting the 'special' in special teams, booting in three field goals.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 45-7 victory over Wake Forest at home. The margin was wide but not a surprise since the spread was 24 in Notre Dame's favor.
Among those leading the charge was Sam Hartman, who threw for 277 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Audric Estime, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown.
California's victory bumped their season record to 5-6 while Stanford's loss dropped theirs to 3-8.
Stanford skirted past Notre Dame 16-14 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Stanford repeat their success, or does Notre Dame have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
