South Florida vs. FAU updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the South Florida vs. Florida Atlantic football game
The FAU Owls will head out on the road to face off against the South Florida Bulls at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Raymond James Stadium. FAU is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, FAU sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 20-17 win over Tulsa. Kudos to the oddsmakers for accurately forecasting both the winner and the close margin.
Among those leading the charge was Larry McCammon III, who rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns. That's the first time this season that McCammon III punched in two or more rushing touchdowns. FAU also got a significant boost from Kobe Lewis, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
Meanwhile, there was early excitement for South Florida after they claimed the first score on Saturday, but it was UAB who ended up claiming the real prize. Things couldn't have gone much worse for South Florida as they lost 56-35 to UAB. South Florida was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
The losing side was boosted by Byrum Brown, who threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Brown was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
FAU's victory bumped their season record to 2-3 while South Florida's defeat dropped theirs to 3-3.
FAU is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. For those looking to play the spread, careful betting on FAU: they have a less-than-stellar 1-4 record against the spread this season.
