New Mexico vs. Wyoming updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the New Mexico vs. Wyoming football game
After two games on the road, the New Mexico Lobos are heading back home. The Lobos and the Wyoming Cowboys will face off in a Mountain West battle at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday at University Stadium. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
New Mexico came up short against the UNLV Rebels last week, falling 31-20. New Mexico was up 14 to nothing at the end of the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead. Their only offensive touchdowns (two) came on a rush from QB Miles Kendrick.
Meanwhile, Wyoming entered their contest against the San Jose State Spartans last week without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. Wyoming took a hard 33-16 fall against SJSU. The losing side was boosted by QB Andrew Peasley, who passed for two TDs and 85 yards on 20 attempts in addition to picking up 74 yards on the ground. Peasley's longest run was for 61 yards in the third quarter.
The Lobos are expected to lose this next one by 3.5. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last Friday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
New Mexico is now 2-3 while the Cowboys sit at 3-3. New Mexico and Wyoming are both 1-1 after wins this season, but that symmetry won't hold for long.
