Hawaii vs. Nevada Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Hawaii vs. Nevada football game
Game Recap
It was a good run, but the Nevada Wolf Pack finally witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak. It was a hard-fought game, but they had to settle for a 24-21 loss against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on Saturday. That's the fewest points the Wolf Pack have scored all year.
Hawaii's QB Chevan Cordeiro did his thing and passed for one TD and 246 yards on 32 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 62 yards. More help came courtesy of LB Darius Muasau, who was good for 12 tackles.
Despite the defeat, Nevada got a solid performance out of RB Toa Taua, who rushed for one TD and 131 yards on 20 carries.
The defeat dropped Nevada's record to 5-1. The win got Hawaii back to even at 3-3.
Nevada will take on the Fresno State Bulldogs at 3 p.m. ET next Saturday at Clarence Mackay Stadium. The Wolf Pack's scoring has been on the decline the past four games, which is obviously a trend Fresno State hopes will continue. As for the Rainbow Warriors, they will face off against the San Jose State Spartans at 4 p.m. ET next Saturday at CEFCU Stadium. If the matchup is anything like Hawaii's 42-40 win from their previous meeting in November of last year, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
