Charlotte vs. FAU: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Charlotte vs. Florida Atlantic football game
The FAU Owls will head out on the road to face off against the Charlotte 49ers at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday at Jerry Richardson Stadium. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Saturday, FAU suffered a grim 36-10 defeat to UTSA.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, the Owls had trouble moving the ball and finished the game with only 162 total yards. They were demolished by their opponents in that department as UTSA gained 437.
Charlotte can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against East Carolina and snuck past 10-7.
Among those leading the charge was Jalon Jones, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown.
Charlotte's victory bumped their season record to 2-5 while FAU's loss dropped theirs to 3-4.
Looking ahead, FAU is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by four points. This will be their first time playing as the favorites on the road this season.
Everything came up roses for FAU against Charlotte in their previous matchup back in August of 2022 as the squad secured a 43-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for FAU since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
