California vs. Arizona State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the California vs. Arizona State football game
The Arizona State Sun Devils will play host again And welcome the California Golden Bears, where kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at FTX Field at California Memorial Stadium. Arizona State is limping into the matchup on a 3-game losing streak.
Arizona State traveled a rocky road last season, and unfortunately for them the road hasn't gotten any smoother. They took a 42-28 bruising from USC on Saturday.
Cam Skattebo put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 79 receiving yards and a touchdown. That's the first time this season that Skattebo rushed for more than 100 rushing yards. Drew Pyne didn't exactly stuff the stat sheet, but he still finished with two touchdowns in total.
Meanwhile, it's going to take some time for California to recover from the brutal 59-32 bruising that Washington dished out on Saturday. Sadly, the defeat only continues a disappointing trend for California: they've now lost three straight matchups with Washington.
The losses dropped Arizona State to 1-3 and California to 2-2.
Not only did the pair lose their last games, neither team covered either. Looking ahead, California is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 12 points. Anyone thinking of taking them against the spread should keep this in mind: the team hasn't covered the last three times they've played Arizona State.
