In the two weeks since the college basketball transfer portal opened, DeVries has secured three commitments. His son Tucker DeVries will follow his father to Bloomington after playing for him at Drake and West Virginia. DeVries also went to the well with DePaul point guard Conor Enright, who played two seasons for DeVries at Drake before deciding to take his talents to the Big East.
The third commitment came on Sunday from 6-foot-10 Davidson forward Reed Bailey. The skilled big man averaged 18.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game last season.
