The Final Four is all set. South Carolina, Stanford and UConn were the first three schools to book their tickets to Minneapolis and Louisville -- with a win over Michigan in the Elite Eight -- was the final team to make their way to the Land of 10,000 lakes.
Haley Van Lith notched her fourth 20+ point game in four NCAA Tournament games n 2022 and led the Cardinals past Michigan and into the Final Four for the second time under head coach Jeff Walz. Louisville, representing the ACC, makes for four different conferences in the national semifinals -- with the SEC, Pac-12 and Big East already represented in the last couple of dances in Minneapolis. The Wolverines were game in the Wichita Regional final. All-American Naz Hillmon was her usual self -- which is the greatest player in the history of Michigan women's basketball, and the most accomplished individual player in Michigan basketball history -- men's or women's, with 18 points and 11 rebounds in her final game in the maize and blue.
Louisville, though, is the side that earned another 40 minutes and they'll take on the No. 1 overall seed South Carolina Gamecocks in one national semifinal. The other Final Four matchup on Friday night will see Stanford taking on UConn for the right to play for all the marbles.
