The final is set on the women's side while the men's semifinals are set for Friday

One championship match is set while another is set to be determined. Wimbledon has delivered some incredible moments so far in 2025 and there are still more to come. 

The women's final is set for Saturday after another upset along the way. No. 13 seed Amanda Anisimova took down No. 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka in three sets on Thursday to reach her first Grand Slam final in thrilling fashion. After serving for the match up 5-3 in the third, Sabalenka scored a break to push it back on serve. But Anisimova answered immediately by scoring the first three points of the 10th game and eventually getting the win. She'll take on No. 8 seed Iga Swiatek, who eliminated Belinda Bencic in straight sets (6-2, 6-0).

The men take Centre Court on Friday with a pair of must-see matchups. No. 1 Jannik Sinner takes on No. 6 Novak Djokovic in the latest installment of their growing rivalry. And No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz takes on American No. 5 Taylor Fritz.

Amanda Anisimova upsets Aryna Sabalenka

An American has a chance to win Wimbledon on the women's side for the first time since 2016 following Anisimova's 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win over Sabalenka on Thursday. Anisimova pulled off the biggest win of her career in hopes of earning her first Grand Slam in the third set with a well-placed forehand winner, out of Sabalenka's reach. The New Jersey native will play in Saturday's championship match.

"This doesn't feel real right now, honestly," Anisimova said. "I don't know how I pulled it out. Aryna's such an incredible competitor."

Sabalenka, Anisimova going to third set

Thursday's first women's semifinal at Wimbledon is going to a decisive set after top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka bounced back from a 6-4 first-set loss to American Amanda Anisimova with a 6-4 decision. Anisimova is 5-3 in her career against Sabalenka, but lost her last match to the World's No. 1 at the French Open earlier this summer.
